Hey George, how's your brother Moe??
I follow the guidelines set by Find a grave concerning transfers..
Edits that will change information or add information must be proven with the proper documentation otherwise it will not be added or changed. Erroneous information doesn't help anyone.
please refrain from sending edits using public trees or websites built from trees that have no proof of documentation and that you yourself haven't researched.
If you could see your ancestors
All standing in a row,
Would you be proud of them?
Or don't you really know?
Strange discoveries are sometimes made,
In climbing the family tree.
Occasionally one is found in line,
Who shocks his progeny.
If you could see your ancestors,
All standing in a row,
Perhaps there might be one or two,
You wouldn't care to know.
Now turn the question right about,
And take another view.
When you shall meet your ancestors,
Will they be proud of you?

|Spirit Keeper||RE: McMurray|
Oh I see the issue the memorial number you gave me was incorrect. I found him. The last name on the death certificate is spelled McMuray. So the record I was working with has the named spelled wrong. I did check Find A Grave for him and he did not come up with the information I had. My methods do not include just adding someone without proof or documentation. There is so much room for errors on Find A Grave I am figuring out. (I see why it is design the way it is, because we all make mistakes.) So thanks for bringing this to my attention. Learning Lessons everyday which is a wonderful thing!! Thanks again
|Spirit Keeper||RE: McMurray|
So sorry Did not catch that. I went in to delete him. He was already deleted how does that happen. New at this and just trying to figure out how all this works. Thanks

Thank you for the photo of the memorial stone for Clifford Grist.
Nope I did it. Typed his name wrong along with his wife Emily so I deleted both since I also have it in the correct format. Thank you bunches :)- Cindy

|Kendra Phillips||Correction to Betsey Hanlin|
I don't have any documents, seeing as this is pretty far back in my family and I have no idea who would even have these records since my family seems to have an anti-hoarding gene that makes them throw away anything that isn't a family Bible (of which my grandma has two, and neither of them list anyone but offspring and have obituary cutouts in between the pages). But I do have a couple of online websites that I have used to aide my ancestors and were done by different people and came back with the same information, that Betsey Hanlin is indeed Elizabeth "Betsey" Lyons, second wife of Francis "Frank" Hanlin. If you'd like the link to these websites, I can email them to you. :) Elizabeth Lyons is distantly related to me (her family keeps marrying into the Hanlin family, so much that we combined the Lyons and Hanlin family reunion into just the Hanlin reunion, seeing as people from both families just attended both. Which is next month, actually, and I'm very excited to quiz every single person for stories about their families and any relatives they know of. :)
Anyway, you can email me at email@example.com (I know, a Scotch-Irish girl with a Japanese email address. :P) I look forward to hearing from you! :) And thanks for taking such good care of your memorial pages instead of adding just anything people say, hoping they know what they're doing. I'll admit, when I started this 3 years ago, I had no idea and just filled in the blanks with ancestry (without paying for it), and now I've cleaned my entire tree (losing 2,000 people in the process), but now it's correct and I know I'd hate it if I thought I was adding information that was true but turned out to be false.
