A friend told me about this chance a couple days after this was deployed. I have sent edits to you so I thought maybe you didn't know about it. You might want to pass it on to your friends. thanks!!! ~Peggy
New "Automated" system for "Suggest a Correction/Submit an Edit"
New System for Memorial Edits deployed by FindAGrave on 12/5/2013
Go to your Contributor/Profile page.
Look in the upper right corner. You should now see a tab called "Edits" - check there to see if any have been submitted to you.
Then just review and accept.
Way easier for doing updates to names / dates / places / plot #s.
You still will get e-mails to add info to bio section or do linking.

Penny-Thanks for contacting me! I hope your wrist is getting better. I was feeling your pain just reading your message. As you can see from Find A Grave and Ancestry.com (if you saw my tree), I actually had photos of Mary (my 3rd great gma on Mom's side). I found these after my mom passed away and we were cleaning the house. Thank goodness my grandma marked the photos or I would have had no idea who these awesome ancestors are! My husband and I just visited the Mansker Cemetery a couple of weeks ago and I was mortified by the condition of the cemetery. It's overgrown and more markers are missing and/or toppled. I think I am going to organize a big clean up and stone repair with a group of cousins in the spring! If you can type, write me back. Where do you live? I'd love to meet up if possible. Happy Thanksgiving!!!! Janis

|Pat Ayers||Cora E Kincannon Smith|
I'm writing from Spokane, WA, I'm a Eastern Washington Genealogical Society volunteer for the Spokane main library. We are doing a Walking with Ancestors tour at the Greenwood Memorial Cemetery. I am portraying Cora E Kincannon Smith.
Her father is Edwin Scott Kincannon and mother is Katherine Kincannon. Do you know why E S came to Spokane and went into real estate? Is anyone else in the family a medium or psychic like Cora?
Thank you, Pat

Thanks you for your message. You have a lot of family in Desert Lawn. Maybe we'll meet up sometime at the cemetery. Desert Lawn is a well cared for cemetery. It's a good experience to visit there, and enjoy the beauty.

You are welcome. I always hope that the photos added to the Find A Grave website will help someone or give someone a chance to see the tombstone, who might not otherwise.
|QueenSarah||Millie Riggs Marvel|
Millie Riggs Marvel was my grandfather Reuben Marvel's mother. Doing research on my family tree. Do you have any more information about her people?
|Margaret Kincannon||Birthplace of George Kincannon|
The birthplace of George Kincannon, born c. 1865, was most likely York (now Adams) County, PA. The "Kilkennon" family was mentioned as living there, in (now) Buchanan Valley, at the time of an Indian attack on the neighboring Jamison/Jemison farm in 1758. Listed as Francis "Cancanan", George's father was listed on a 1762 tax list in that county, living in Menallen Township.

Thanks so much for your reply. Sorry to hear about the deaths in your family. That kind of thing can take so much out of us.
I have heard that there are quite a few mistakes in the work done by Don Kinnison. When it comes to genealogy stuff, that is such an easy thing to do--make mistakes! I do it all the time.
I thought if and when you ever get the time, you could delete Charles and Martha's names from the site, or rather, include them on Amos' page, with information about their moving to Ohio etc, but remove them from the list of people interred there.
Thanks again for writing. Volunteers get little credit, and I just want you to know I appreciate the work you have done on the McNeel grave site.

I have no connection. . .was just out filling photo requests and since this was such a small cemetery, took photos of all that were there and then let those who had the pages know that pictures were now available. Impressed that you've tracked everyone down. I should be spending more time doing that for my family. . .but filling photo requests seems easier ;-)
