Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am originally from Hartsville, Darlington, Florence area of South Carolina. I am related to the Watkins, Williams, Browns, Kelleys , Kellys, McDonalds, and many many more. This is a great site for building family history to pass on to our children and grand children. God Bless and have a glorious day!

Revelation 21:4
King James Version (KJV)

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

P.S. Please take a moment to visit the memorial for Morgan Thompson . We went to High School together. Morgan had been living in the Boy's Home for a number of years. He haid been talking for a couple of years about joining the Army as soon as he was old enough so he could get out of the Boy's Home. He joined the Army and came by school to show us his uniform. He had a smile from ear to ear! I will never forget how proud he looked in his dress uniform. He had just completed basic training and was on his way to Vietnam. A few short months later we got word that Morgan had been killed in combat. God bless you Morgan. You made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Freedom is not free. Through the sacrifices of many thousands of men and women like Morgan we have freedom. He was only 18! Cherish this freedom and never let it be taken away.

RE: Skies
Same to you my friend -- it is heartwarming to work with people such as yourself when there are others out there who are so difficult.

Thanks again for all your help.

I may be sending more on the Sikes family as more information becomes available....I am working with a friend who descends from this family lineage.

Grave of James Young Farrar
Johnny, quick question. Did you post the photo of the grave of James Young Farrar (Evergreen Cemetery) at the request of a relative? I am researching James Farrar's military service in WW2 and am trying to locate any living relatives of his. Thanks for your time and attention

Yes, I would like to manage this grave. I could link it to her daughter's grave in Canada. Her husband died in Johannesburg, so I can't find that, and I haven't found graves for her parents, who may have died in Leesburg, Florida. But she also had 10 grandchildren in Canada. It seems like they put up a lasting monument to her in Jacksonville, much better preserved than many. She had a sister, Minnie Allen, as well, but I'm a little skeptical about the information I was given for her.

Annie Bell Clark Williams Harden
Johnny, Annie Harden 145946064 is the same person as Annie Williams (my aunt). I am happy to see a photo of her marker and thank you for your message. I also found the photo you took of her son's marker (James Shelton Williams).

Lily Mallet-Veale

Thanks for the photo of the grave marker for Lily Mallet-Veale in Evergreen Cemetery, Jacksonville, Florida - and thanks for posting the information on her death.
Her maiden name was Lily Blanche Allen, and she was born in 1866 in Illinois. I've been looking for a record of her death for years. Her father was James R. Allen, born in New Jersey, and her mother Mary E. In the 1885 census, the family was living in Leesburg, Florida, and Lily married my great-uncle Westcott Harris Mallet-Veale in 1887 in Leesburg, and had a daughter Mabel Emily Mallet-Veale in 1888 in St. Augustine, Florida. I don't know how or why Lily died 7 years after her daughter was born. Westcott, who was born in 1864 in Koude Rivier, Cape Colony (not yet South Africa) took his daughter Mabel to England to stay with her grandfather in Devon for awhile, then she was taken to South Africa where she married a cousin, my uncle. Mabel and Nevile had 3 children in South Africa, and then 7 more in Saskatchewan, Canada, and there are many descendants in this country. She died Aug. 16, 1967 in New Westminster, B.C., Canada.
