|Bio and Links|
Seems I have always enjoyed old cemeteries. I remember walking through many of them as a child. It is great to have a site that will allow us to create a virtual safeguard for the preservation of old cemeteries. More and more vanish away each day due to erosion, time and just plain "progress".|
Find A Grave is a grave registry, not a genealogy site for recording your personal family history. I am willing to transfer memorials which are within guidelines only. Please Read the Find a Grave Guidelines, first to determine if the memorial is within the guidelines. If the memorial is within the Find a Grave guidelines, please state the exact relationship to the deceased when making a transfer request.
We have had a lot of new contributors recently. First of all Welcome to the site, I hope you enjoy it as much as I have. Next, PLEASE refrain from harsh abusive judgment. Link abilities were not added until 2010, The rules of adding funeral portraits was added about 2012, around 2011 the names of living survivors were told to be removed. Until late 2009 we were also allowed and encouraged to add all the markers in a cemetery, even those who may have been living at the time.
I was told by an admin that the removal of funeral portraits is no longer required, but I do remove all living survivors when I run across them. The pre need markers are retained as when they were created they were "legal" and thus "grandfathered in".
I have done the best I can on this site, I have worked extremely hard and have always followed the rules.
Anything you feel needs to be added please do not hesitate to send a message via the edit tab located on every memorial. New information is added ASAP.
