I came to this site for the purpose of conducting family research and organizing this research into a grand memorial to honor my family. It was intended to be something that succeeding generations can come to learn about their ancestral past. It is my gift to my family. |
I have extended the focus of the memorials I create to include friends, family, and people with whom I am somehow connected. Along the way I will create memorials for others and upload photos to memorials as well, especially for veterans and those trying to do their own family research. Hopefully I may be of some help to someone. If I create such a memorial and you, as a family member, make a request for a transfer I will gladly transfer the memorial to your care no questions asked. After all, it's your family. You should be the one to determine how that person is memorialized and remembered. I will not transfer a memorial for any of my family members however. I will likewise not permit anyone to use any of my family photos or download same. If I download a photo for you to one of your memorials feel free to use your photo any way you wish.
I live a few blocks from Holy Name Cemetery in Jersey City. I enjoy fulfilling photo requests for this cemetery, and often scan Find A Grave for memorials for persons buried in HNC that don't have grave marker photos. If you have a special photo request for this cemetery just let me know.

Thank you very much! I happened to stumble across his memorial, so I really appreciate you setting it up and taking the photo.

Hello, Ron. I noticed you have a virtual cemetery for St. Peter's in Jersey City. I took some photos there when I still lived in New Jersey. I am transferring those memorials to you since you seem to have a local connection, and it is nice to know someone has the interests of that cemetery.
If you come across any listings I have, just let me know if you want a transfer, and I will gladly comply.

Happy to do it. I noticed you have a bunch of requests at Gate of Heaven, which is another cemetery I do. They had some problems with volunteers charging for photos so they've banned it, but if you e-mail the address listed on the cemetery page, the staff will take a photo for you.

Ron: I just noticed that there are two memorials for Timothy -- another created in April 2012 by another member and now managed by me. Can these memorials be combined?
|Kathy Farrell||Bruno Miller|
Thanks for the headstgone photo. My Bruno Miller died in 1963 so this grave is correct. His name isn't on the front, but did you notice if any names were engraved on the sides or back?

I copied and pasted the pictures to the other 3 memorials. Thank you!

You have a posted a photo for Kenneth E Dryzga (68299899)memorial. I added memorials for his parents Mary Gutt Dryzga (120413421), Henry Dryzga (120413716) and his sister Lorraine Flanagan (120413902). Would you be able to post the same photo for each of their memorials? If you prefer, I can copy your photo and post it on the new memorials but I wanted to give you the credit first if you desire. Thank you. I am not a direct relation to this family but I have some cousins of cousins who were asking my help in some research. Thanks!

Thanks Ron! Also, if you ever come across Leopold (Leo) Betz or his wife Margaret (Maggie) (Sleith) Betz, or Mary (Sleith) James at HNC, PLEASE let me know!!! I greatly appreciate your time and efforts at this cemetery! Pam

Monte Lou is actually my stepmom's sister. Sue, my stepmom married my dad, Leo Profilet, soon after he returned from Viet Nam. Sure, I would love to take responsibility for my dad's "grave".
Thanks a million for setting up this lovely tribute.
