Mary Jane Slater
We posted two photos on Mary Jane Slaters memorial page. The faded one is before we tried to clean, the darker one is after but it was drying fiarly rapidly because of the wind. We will try to remember to take another after we learn to clean and restore headstones.

Tried to fix, how do you explain the family poistion of Helena. Her stone says wife of Henry. Did he have 3 wives?

I think you are right, but when I wanted to link her to Henry, there is more than one, also more than one Susanna. Could you put the corrections to link in the edits section. I will remove the pic, thanks for the catch.

RE: Wards at Salem Baptist
The trick is to catch the sunlight just as it starts to move across the stone. This works better for me than foiling or spraying it with water and it's free.
