I've been a stay at home mom since 1994. I got the genealogy bug about 19 years ago after my father had given me some information on my ancestors. I'm right at home in a cemetery and usually manage to find at least one to visit while I'm on vacation!|
Please do NOT add death certificates, marriage certificates or copies of obituaries to my memorials. You should never upload obituaries that list LIVING individuals to ANY memorials.
If I send you an edit on a memorial, it's probably because I've researched the family in some way. I will abide by the FAG rules for duplicating memorials, newest one should be removed and/or merged. If I send you an edit and it's not taken care of after 30 days, I will send the edit to the FAG administration. If you're going to create the memorials, then take the time to maintain them. If I have management of a memorial that you want, please send the memorial # along with your member number. Bulk surname requests should not be made and I will not turn over memorial's of my own family members.
Please send memorial corrections through the proper channels- Edit and SAC (suggest another correction).

FYI. I did submit a singular request to Find A Grave about Ida today to address your concern.

Sorry. Missed a part of your message. I added the part about Oakwood. My edit note is a marker I use so I know that one has been corrected. I would love to have the original creators take over, but after a couple of years of myself and Find A Grave attempting contact without results we are at where we are. If you would like to help with the project I would certainly welcome it.

They are still inactive. If you look you will see that the edit was done by me today. I have been working with Find A Grave to correct all the errors in this cemetery and as such they have provided me with a very limited ability to edit these memorials being that at the start I figured there were over 3000 errors and they thought it better to allow me to correct as I worked on things as opposed to sending each one to them. I cannot move the burial location myself, that has to be done by Find A Grave and they are aware there will be 300 or more of them and asked that I send them in groups as I get them ready and they will take care of them that way. It is just going to take time which is limited to me at the moment, but it will eventually get done. Thanks for your interest and if you have any other questions please ask.

|JD||Re Ida E. Hume|
thanks for the note about the possible duplicate. As it turns out, mine is actually the correct one. I work with the organization that is caring for / upgrading the cemetery, and have copies of the burial records for the cemetery. the initial memorial maker put Ms Hume and a couple of hundred other people in the wrong location when they added Western State Hospital Memorial Cemetery
to Find A Grave. I have since added those people to the correct location, and have tried to have the other duplicates removed, but the original poster is no longer active or responsive, and going through Find A Grave edits has required alot of time with limited results. As I have time I work on the database and try to get things resolved. In time I will get them all.

Thanks for the info about the burial listing on the DC. If you look at the Mt. Elliott Cemetery site tho you'll find they list her there. Possibly the family thought she would be in Mt. Olivet and changed their mind?

Hi there -- I just added parents to this memorial...Amelia was the sister of my husband's great-grandfather, and we are sure about the family lineage back to John Schneider just from my mother-in-law's personal knowledge. (A more legit source is the 1900 census, where Amelia and Harry Rintz are living in her father John Schneider's household.
United States Census, 1900," index and images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/M3WM-MKC : accessed 09 Mar 2014), John Schneider, Division 13 Philadelphia city Ward 31, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States; citing sheet , family 43, NARA microfilm publication T623, FHL microfilm 1241473.
