|Ralph Holloway||RR Romans in Drake Cemetery|
Mr Glenn, I have been able to do a little research on RR Romans who is buried in the Drake Family Cemetery in Franklin County. His full name is Richard R Romans and he was born in Tennessee.
His parents were Peter Romans 1796-1850 and Elizabeth Ann Sublett 1795-1860. I have not been able to determine if he was married and I can not find out why he came to be buried in the Drake Cemetery. Still, we know a bit more about this men.
I was in the cemetery recently and was able to repair his marker. It had been broken into two pieces.

Mr. Glenn, you seem to be well versed about this family. I believe Emily was the younger sister of my GG-Grandfather John C. Franks. John died sometime before 1900 and is buried in an unmarked grave at Bald Knob. John married my GG-Grandma Emma Bell White (Widow of John White) on Jan. 4, 1893. They had one son, my Great-Grandpa Frank Cleveland Franks. Any info about this family would be appreciated. Thanks and God bless. Curt Roper

Warren, thank you for all your contributions to the Findagrave website. I would like permission to use your photographs of my relatives' grave sites in my Family Tree files. I use the photos as source media and will gladly give you credit for your work. Becky
|Bill Burden||Laura Burden|
Thank you very much for visiting the Fannin cemetery and taking and posting the nice photo of Laura Burden's gravesite. I really appreciate it.
|Bob Collins||Thomas Merle Collins|
Don't know if you are aware of this but Thomas Merle Collins is not buried in the Collins Family Cemetery located in Hillsboro, Fishpond,
al. This is my family cemetery and he isn't buried here. There may be another Collins Cemetery, that I don't know about, just know he isn't buried in the Collins Family Cemetery.

Could you please check your source for the middle name of "Sirrus"?
To my knowledge, Josiah SOLON Kelly who married Malinda Ann Cornelius in Madison Co, AL, in the 1830s was NOT"Sirrus" and had no other wife. Please let me know what you find. Thanks.
Malinda and Josiah 's children were reared by the Cornelius family (Grandmother Eleanor Cornelius, Uncle William Cornelius, and others) mostly in Madison County. Some of the Cornelius family lived in the area of Elliott's Pond and their house was torn down when the highway was widened in the mid-1950s. (The plantation was known as "Boxwood.") I was told that family graves I saw in the rear of the house when I was a child ((early 1950s) were removed to a nearby cemetery. I think these are the stones you report in "Kelly Cemetery."

Thanks so much for the great photo. Very grateful.

In the note section are the remarks that Charles is the son of Jabez & Matilda Garnett. Truth is he is the son of John Stewart & Matilda. John is Matilda's 1st husband. Jabez was her 2nd, and they took on the name Garnett. Charles & Elizabeth (Lizzie) are my great- grandparents.
