My wife and I have been doing genealogy research on both of our families since we retired in 1990.
My lines include (McKay, Cobb, Long, Matney, George, Benefield, Latch). All of my family lines were in the U.S. as far back as I can trace (early 1700's). My sirname migrated from VA to OK via TN, GA, AL, and AR. On my mothers side they migrated from OH to OK via IL and MO.

My wife's lines include:(Skaggs, Gilreath). Her family migrated from KY, SC, and GA to OK. We are willing to share any information we have.

We also take cemetery photos of our family stones as well as for tombstones for cemeteries in our area.

I, for one, am glad you did it. It is important that we get the data down digitally so the information is not lost.
Would it be better if after the photos were taken, we washed it off right away?
In any case, THANK YOU. - Carolyn

KIRBY headstone photos
Thank you for the photos of Caroline Kirby and her son Henry Eldred Kirby in Old Salem Cemetery, located in Howth in Waller County, Texas. What did you use to make them so readable?
Kind regards, Carolyn Davis

RE: Benefield transfers
So the closest relative you share with my grandfather is your great great great grandfather. Please follow the Rules established by Find A Grave and transfer my grandparents and great grandparents as I have requested. Thank you.

RE: Benefield transfers
Since you will not transfer my direct relatives to me, can you please tell me how you are related to my grandparents and great-grandparents. I appreciate that you finally transferred my father to me.

John Powell
Will you please add Powell's last name of Cuny. His full name is John Powell Cuny, son of Gen. Philip Minor Cuny and Eliza Ware Cuny. This is a person many researchers are hunting and we knew he was somewhere in Waller County cemeteries. Luckily I found him by accident in Bernardo Cemetery. His number is 65273450. Thanks.

True, unless something buried should show up we'll not know.
I will send you something through "Edit" on Find A Grave.

Appreciate your help

RE: Jesse Harrison Tarkington-Camp Groce
Do you know how he determined Jesse Tarkington was among those buried at either Camp Groce or McDade Cemeteries? Since 2 cemeteries are listed, I'm reasoning that no direct conclusion could be shown as to the cemetery, but only he died 2-1865 in Hempstead and most likely buried in one of the two shown. Would this be a logical assumption?

also I would appreciate, (an should I send a request to you through Find A Grave),that where his marker and other information on his family is located be attached. Or can you transfer both to me, I'll be happy to add information so others can see what and why marker was done.

Jesse Harrison Tarkington-Camp Groce
Just learned of his name on this site and McDade Cemetery Am interested as to the records you have regarding his burial being in Camp Groce/McDade and when was his name added to this site. In all our research from years prior to 2012 , we knew he died in Hempstead Hospital Feb 1865, no one was able to tell us where he may have been actually buried. No records were available of him or others. He is my 2nd great grandfather. His father, Burton Tarkington came to Texas in 1826 and settled in what is still known as Tarkington Prairie, Liberty Co Tx. On 3-2012 we were able to get a marker and there was a re-enactment service (like they would have done in that time period) and his marker is located at the foot of his wife, Priscilla, in McGinnis Cemetery, Liberty Co TX.I very much appreciate hearing from you regarding the above. Thanks Again Mary Ann Johnson
