Bio and Links
Bio Photo To request a memorial to be transferred to you, the only way is to go to the "Edit" tab in the upper right of the memorial, go to "Suggest Any Other Correction or Addition" - put in your relationship to the memorial, and your memorial #. It must be done through the "edit" tab only, to insure that the correct memorial is transferred to the correct contributor. And I COULD transfer if it is apart of your family - not your cousins brother in law's aunt's cousin. Only if a close relative - which must be given in the "edit" tab.

PLEASE to not post birth or marriage certificates or obituaries NOR put in the flower tab any information about the deceased. Send me in the "edit" tab to put this in the "Bio" section. I do not link to parents who are in a burial that are not known.

Thank you for all that have contributed to the memorials which are in my charge. And thanks to the ones that take pictures for me.

I will not transfer if they are apart of my own family or friends. Some of the lines I am researching are Masters, Chamblee, Keith, Kay, Hoffman, Veitch, Harding, Randolph, Isham, Totherow, Whitworth, Cartright, Murray, Magnusson, Bird, Stapley, Bliss, Pomeroy, Cunningham, Roth, Harding, Quinlan, Burrows, Stumpf and Hannum.

Because of the passing of contributor's Kathy McConnell and ancestorsatrest, I have been given a good portion of their memorials to take care of.

Elaine Berger has transferred the Mt. Pleasant City Cemetery memorials for me to take care of.

RE: Memorial# 138111279
Thank you very much! I just can't understand how the death dates showing for Robert and his brother Newton Masters are accurate as they were on the 1860 census...

Unless there is a Bible record showing the birth, etc of Benjamin's children, we really don't know for certain they were his children or that they died. There is always a possibility that Benjamin was taking care of a family members children due to hardship or death..

It is very possible that the Robert living with Benjamin was his son and that they both died...just not before 1860.

I meant to say that none of the CHILDREN of Benjamin Masters that were on the 1860 census were on the 1880 census...

I read the memorial to the family of Benjamin Masters and his wife and children. The Memorial # 138111279 is for Benjamin's son Robert M Masters b. @1858.

At the memorial, you mention a "Masters family Book" that gives the children of Benjamin and their birth and death dates. I would like to know which book this is and who wrote it, etc.

The death dates of the sons of Benjamin Masters, Newton and Robert Masters, are incorrect. This is obvious as both boys were on the 1860 census in the hh of Benjamin.

I have long suspected that my husband's grandfather Robert Masters b. @1858 (parents unknown) was possibly the same Robert Masters as the son of Benjamin. My husband's grandfather was living in Dalton GA in 1870 with a Chastain family that raised him and he was living in Chattooga Co. GA in 1900 with a son named Newton Masters. The story is that he had a brother ..we haven't located a brother yet...but, he could have named his son after a brother "Newton" ...

I also found it strange that none of the that were in the hh with Benjamin in 1860 were living in his hh in 1880?

RE: Helene Van Buskirk
Not sure how she's related. I just found a "Van Buskirk" in Beadle County and sent you the message. That doesn't sound like a common name in the area. They surely must be related some how. I figured you'd be most interested since you already had some with that surname.

RE: John Totherow
There was a small headstone for a john Totherow, but the dates did not match. I thought might be a son?
