Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a retired History teacher. I am working on connecting & linking the Metcalf descendants of the three Metcalf brothers who settled in Western North Carolina and Eastern Tennessee in the 1790's. My grandparents & great grandparents & great great grandparents are buried in Madison County along with many Uncles & Aunts & Cousins. As you know many families were large in the 1800's. The same is true with the Metcalfs & Corns & Lisenbees which lived in Madison County in the 1800's.

Wayne, Thank you for the information, has been added.
Hope you are doing well and staying warm. It is cold here, think the snow we have on the ground is waiting around for more.
Have a blessed Thanksgiving, we all have so much to thank God for.
Thank you again,

Glenna Buckner Metcalf
Hi Cuz, I am confused. I read in Glenna Obit, where her mother's name was Edhie Stockton, married a Buckner. The Effie J. Buckner, you have her linked to, was a Buckner, and her parents were Buckners, and never married as far as I know, she is buried in Shook Cemetery where her parents are buried, sharing a plot with her brother Avery, who never married. If you would check it out, and let me know before I link her through the EDIT you sent me. Just don't want to undo if not correct.
Thanks and have a great day.
