I was born and raised in Atlanta, but have lived most of my adulthood in Charlotte, North Carolina. Coincidentally I ended up right where my roots are on my father's side of the family. Genealogy is my passion and I never met a cemetery I didn't like. I'm also into historic preservation, both of buildings and the lives of people no longer with us.|
As the daughter of a general and great-granddaughter of 3 Confederate veterans, I like to note military records of veterans on their findagrave memorials.
I welcome corrections/additions, but will no longer link to a "burial unknown" person. I have found this leads to duplicates.
FAMILIES ON MY FATHER'S SIDE: Irwin, DeWeese, Blackwelder, Babcock, Taylor, Wilbon.
FAMILIES ON MY MOTHER'S SIDE: Bryan, Battle, Pope, Atkinson, Yarbrough, Chappell.

Additions have been made for his wife, but I did not create the above memorial at Third Creek.
|Linda Christenburg Moody Brown||John Atlas Bullock|
Thank you for posting headstone picture's on John Atlas and Mary Bullock's Memorials.
You are welcome. When somebody expresses an interest in a memorial, I always try to find more information for it. Then I realized that you were still working on it. I found a William G. Mumpower who live from 1912-1963. I only found the death index so it didn't say much. I don't know if this is Gammon or not. The birth year matches. I will go back to Forest Lawn hopefully this week sometime and look for the graves. I posted them in the photo requests to remind me.
|Lorraine Lambert||Jack Howard Talley|
Thank you for linking Jack to his parents.
Have a glorious day.
No need to apologize for sending lots of additions and corrections--I'm always glad to see the memorials made more complete. I think it's only been twice that I've had to request that people slow down a bit in what they send. But Find A Grave has made it so easy to add all the basics that it's no problem to dozens per day.
|David Babb||Lafoy connections|
Thanks for the links you provided for children of Mack and Tecora Lafoy. I'm looking for the burial cemetery of Nannie Lafoy Harris and her husband Corum Alexander Harris. Nannie was a sister of Mack David Lafoy and Corum was a brother of Joe Harvey Harris. If you have Info on this, it would be very helpful. Thanks a million, David Babb

|Dawsonlm||Margaret Blackwelder and Lewis Krimminger|
Susan, your and LoRetta Hughes' findagrave entries helped me solve a mystery this weekend. On familysearch.org I found a lawsuit against the administrators of an ancestor's estate. It was full of legalese and difficult to read. Your records and genealogy info helped me understand the suit. My 4th G-gfather Lewis B. Krimminger was named Margaret A. Blackwelder's guardian after her father died in 1857. Margaret died in 1864 and less than two years later Lewis died. The administrators of Lewis' estate included Margaret's estate when they settled his. Margaret's brother and sister had to sue them to get Margaret's portion of their father's estate back. Some of my confusion was because Margaret's mother married her late husband's brother. Your entry for Margaret and her mother Leah Cruse helped me understand what I saw in the census records. I'm not sure I why Lewis Krimminger was named Margaret's guardian, not her stepfather Martin. Lewis was once the Sheriff of Cabarrus County but that doesn't quite explain it. I guess I'll have to work on that. All the best! Lynn Dawson, Madison, VA
