|Hi, my name is Gordon Philbin.|
I love history and giving actors and people that were part of history on my FindAGrave page.
I just started today and I do hope people comment on my people I have listed.
When I am older, I plan to go to Hollywood and become an actor and director.

|Mike Etches||Henry Samuel Etches|
Hello Gordon, I've been researching the life of Henry S. Etches who was a distant cousin of mine and I was interested to read your comments on Find A Grave. I've been unable to find any details of the whereabouts of Henry's burial place and have come to the conclusion that he was either buried at sea or that he was cremated and his ashes scattered at sea. What do you think?
|Rich H.||Robert John Hopkins|
Could you mention in the notes section that the dates on the grave differ than the listing?

|Michael Erway||RE: Ben Erway|
Sorry for delayed reply.
No, unfortunately I have not been able to find a burial site yet for Arthur Benjamin Erway 1892-1981.
His father Mark Isaiah Reed Erway died 6 Mar 1945 at Oakland, Alameda, CA and his mother Mary Eleanor Dailey died 19 Jan 1946 also at Oakland, Alameda, CA.
So far I have not been able to find burial sites for the parents either.
Will let you know if I find it.

The top photo is clearly wrong, a completely different person. Lower photo is the actor's image but the other is a Griffith University professor.

Thank you very much for approving my suggestions. Myself and my late father were huge fans of his "your truly, Johnny Dollar" radio programs. I was fortunate to locate his internment yesterday and was pleased to see that he is with his parents and young son. Perhaps you can change his memorial to famous status? Thank you again for all you do

Hello, I posted a clearer picture, but did not mean to remove the marker request. I actually am planning on going out to photograph his marker tomorrow or Tues. I apologize for the mix-up. Duke

Find A Grave # 157021036 now exists for Buddy Lester's father, James Tomarse "James Ormont" Goldberg. I am unable to link # 81647391 and # 157021036.
|sagesteps||RE: Find A Grave Memorial# 81647391|
Buddy Lester's father was James Tomarse Goldberg, born in Lodz, Russia on October 24, 1881. His mother's name was Pauline M. Wolf, born in Illinois in 1885. His father was also known as James T. Ormont, a music critic for newspapers in Chicago and New York. His father lived in retirement in Sherman Oaks, CA before his passing on August 28, 1962. Buddy's birth name was Albert Francis Goldberg. He was the brother of Lester L. Goldberg, also a comedian known as Jerry Lester. Buddy's wife, Lael Rose Smit, was born on August 13, 1917 in South Haven, Michigan, and passed away on April 22, 1992 in Las Vegas, Nevada. They had one son, Paul Lester, and a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Sylvia J.) Jensen. Following a battle with cancer at a Van Nuys nursing home Buddy's funeral was held on October 9, 2002 in Reseda, CA.
