I started using Find a Grave to help track my family. Once I got started I got hooked. Now I drag my husband with me.
I love getting all the great emails from people who find a photo or grave I've added that belongs to a family member or friend. I feel the same way when someone sends me a picture of a family member's gravestone I'm looking for.
All of the pictures I've taken can be used by anyone without asking.
Debra L. Otis Hi Melinda, I added a picture to your gravestone photo for Debra L. Otis
Debra L. Otis, 17, went missing on Pass Island at Deception Pass while in a wooded and rocky area near the water. She was wearing a yellow swimsuit, dark blue sweater, and light blue bell bottom pants at the time
She was added to the National Missing and Unidentified Persons Database (MP # 18215) on 11/27/12. Her remains have never been found.
Marie Nelsen I finally located where my great aunt Marie is buried and find we have duplicated her burial record, and not sure of the best way to merge our two postings as you also have added source information and her husband's obit. How should we best merge our records? Earl Pagel
Frank D and Alice Stark Derby Oh, What a surprise when I looked at the pictures AND the obituary for both of them!!! I am soooo appreciative that you posted the photos and the obituaries- I have been looking for Alice Derby obituary for a long time and I learned so much about her because of what you do! Thanks so much! KSea
Memorial# 57846189 Re: Margarite Stark Todd I have just now edited birth and death dates. Margarite is my grandmother's sister, and during her relatively short life she spelled her given name numerous ways, and took great liberties with her birth year. Why her grave marker shows her birth year as 1889 is beyond me because she was 5 years old per the 6/1/1891 Canada census (New Westminster B.C., where her stepfather temporarily changed her surname to Melchior). Her biological mother always said her birth year was 1886. Also, I notice there is a duplicate Memorial for her #7971653 with the name Margaret S Todd. I have no idea how to proceed with this matter, but hopefully you do know how. Please help if you can. Thank you. Helen
