My ancestors were from Ireland and England - from Co.Clare,Co. Kildare,Co.Mayo,Co.Tyrone,and Dublin.also from Liverpool England,and Middletown NJ, Philadelphia Pa. for the most part, with generations living in Bell Harbor in the Rockaway's N.Y.|
Surnames of interest include: Marrs, Tierney,Fagan, Grant,Lovely,Liddy (Leddy),McLaughlin,Slevin, Stanley,Keane
Your tombstone stands among the rest;
Neglected and alone.
The name and date are chiseled out,
On polished, marbled stone.
It reaches out to all who care...
It is too late to mourn.
You did not know that I exist,
You died and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you,
In flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own.
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
One hundred years ago,
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so.
I wonder if you lived and loved,
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot
And come visit you."
(This poem was written in 1906 by Walter Butler Palmer)
I work hard to get my information as accurate as possible and am thankful when other contributors do the same. I generally don't enter information such as inscriptions that are easily readable from the picture (why by redundant?), but I'm happy to make any corrections needed. Just please use the "Edit" tab on the memorial. It's easier to manage the emails that way. Thanks!
Photo's: Please feel free to make copies of the photo's that I have taken and posted here. I do ask that if you post them to other websites please give me credit for taking them as a courtesy.

|Irish Michael||Thanks for going to 4 of the graves I was looking for|
3 of them had no headstone, but the Neary-Byrne headstone was very useful and I got new names for my research. Thanks.
Thanks again JP. it seems one by one you are sending my family to me.

I have been trying for month's now to get these photo's of my family. The number does not allow incoming calls. I've tried writing to them to get the grave location and no luck. I know this cemetery is large and I so badly want to find my lost relatives that are there. Can you help me?

I received a notice that you fulfilled a a photo request, but when I clicked on it, a different person showed up.. don't know what happened..
|Arlene B||Thank you!|
Thank you very much for taking the picture of my ancestor, Benjamin Charles Klingmann. Your effort, on my behalf, is very much appreciated. Regards, Arlene B.

Yes thanks. Sorry for the confusion. That's where the cemetery folks told me it was:(. I really appreciate your help:)
Sorry, I just looked at the information from Calvary they have Rocco and his wife Margherita buried at
Plot: Section 30, Range or Plot 26, grave 16/17
They also said that Margherita was originally buried at 18-5-D-10, but moved. Wonder if unknown family is buried in that area.
Hope you are able to help again. I love the photos you take!!!
JP Rayder-YOU ROCK! Thanks for answering my requests. At least this time I was given the correct plot#.

Many thanks JP for getting the headstone photo for me. That adds a personal touch to Vivienne's memorial.
