A Texan's family tree is like a beautiful rose with many fragrant petals, but with any rose, you have thorny branches that needs pruning on occasion....the same goes with families.
Beatitudes of the Family Genealogists:
Blessed are the great grandmothers, who hoarded newspaper clippings and old letters, For they tell the story of their time. Blessed are all the grandfathers who filed every legal document, For this provides proof. Blessed are the grandmothers who preserved family Bibles and diaries, For this our heritage. Blessed are fathers who elect officials that answer letters of inquiry, For some, this is their only link to the past. Blessed are mothers who relate family traditions and legends to the family, For one of her children will surely remember. Blessed are the relatives who fill in family sheets with extra data, For them who owe the family history. Blessed is any family whose members strive for the preservation of records, For theirs is a labour of love. Blessed are the children who will never say, "Grandma, you have told that old story twice today."written by Unknown;

I also try very hard not to 'duplicate', but every now and again, one get's through. Please know that it wasn't intentional. If you'll let me know, I'll delete them.

Nancy I am currently working on this line of the Formby family. I have a lot of links to connect to different family members. Most of these people I just added to Find A Grave early this year and have not completed them as of yet. Once I get them linked together I will send them to you. I do not want you to have to do all the linking which I have already sorted out and just need to continue to link them.

Nancy, I'm talking about the plantation house in Wood County, TX. You said, in 2013, that you would look into it.

Can you tell me when Doctor James M. Puckett's clinic was torn down. It was in the front yard of the old Puckett plantation. It should have been placed on the national historical registry, but oh well. Please let me know what happened.

OK! As I double check everything I will forward to you.
|Sharren Formby||Formby Family|
I am going over all my Formby memorials in England. Some of the memorials I have been able to link to family members but others I only know where they are buried.
Would you like for me to transfer all of these to you or just the ones I am for sure I am related to? There are a lot of them!

Trying to find who his parents were. We were told my 2nd great grandmother was Adah who was Native American however, I had my DNA checked and no Native American in me. My brother and I are at odds over this. Any information you can provide can help clear up this mystery.
Herbert Formby. Family links and info added. Thank you.

Herbert M Formby # 155314047 which I added and transferred to you is really buried in Jacksonville National Cemetery and is listed as # 157251923. We need to delete our memorial and combine the additional information from out memorial to the new one which is correct.

Oh ok cool thanks for the conformation! Is there a way to link them?
|Maredia Haddock||In Appreciation|
Nancy, I do appreciate all of the fine work you have done on the cemeteries. We are still working on updating records for Mt Zion. May we use your headstone photos from Find a Grave on the new website for Mt Zion. We will be glad to give you credit for each one.
Thank you kindly, Maredia
