|Darcey Gartrell||Abigail Wood Lee|
Saw that you posted a photo of Abigail's headstone in the Dallas Cemetery. I read your note and thought I'd see if you might have any additional information in your files about either Abigail or her husband, Wilson Lee. Her f.a.g. mem. no.# is 24645350. I am their 3rd great granddaughter. - Thanks, Darcey (Zumwalt) Gartrell

Following the wedding they made their first farm home in Looking-Glass, Douglas, Oregon and their first child, Ezekiel, was born several years later. Margaret's parents had a Oregon Donation Land Claim in this same area of Looking-Glass.
Her Early Oregonian parent's were Abraham and Elizabeth [Davenport] Jones. They had been married in Boone County, Indiana, on 09 July 1848 and were farming near Deer Creek, Douglas Co., before 1880. He and his wife had received an Oregon Donation Land Claim at the Roseburg, U.S. Land Office, Number 231, the family arrived in Oregon with two daughters, on 12 Sept 1852, and secured their claim on 28 Dec 1854. My mother and I are researching our relatives on the Atterbury side of the family. I believe the picture you have posted includes my grandfather Harlan Atterbury. Would you happen to have more of these photos? I have never before seen a picture of my grandfather at such a young age.
You are welcome to e mail me at Lararear@msn.com I live in Eugene Oregon.
Thank you so very much.

(My mother is Leslie Atterbury and this would have been a picture of her grandparents and father Harlan, uncle Ivan and Aunt Carmen)

Thank you for posting! - Crawford1880
When in Ancestry and you are in your page for Augustus Nathaniel Starr, do a search, and a public tree will show up titled "Bethom" - this person has Augustus as Pvt. Augustus Nathaniel Starr, and has photos and a lot of wonderful information, going further back. Good luck!
|Never Forgotten©2011-2016||Augustus N. Starr|
I got your message about Augustus, he is buried in the same cemetery as his son, John A. Starr. I have linked John to his father so you can see. I am so distantly related, I am not the one you want to talk to about the Starr family. Do you have an Ancestry account? There is someone who has done a lot of work on this particular Starr line that you should get in contact with. If you have an Ancestry account, I will try to find his contact info for you.
The Landreth photos you have posted as well as others are just wonderful! Thank you so much for sharing them.

I got your message, thanks for the link to your info. Our internet has been out sporadically I guess that is why your messages bounced. Happy to meet another cousin!
