I have been a family genealogist for over 35 years but still find things on this site that I didn't otherwise know.|

I Will take a look early next week. The tier 18 could be a pigen hole location. I've Sen a few wall sections with upwards of 500 in a small space12ft by12ft.
In one my Find A Grave member Message Board you elluded to your father: "my father working in Chicago in 1930."
Who is your father? Is he a McDade?
|Rosemarie||Cora McDade Dever|
Thank you so very much. The "brick wall" has been eliminated by the latest information.
According to family legend, Cora was a widow with a daughter named Eleanor when they married. Cora had come to Chicago to visit her brother, Archie McDade and met Martin James Dever. They married February 3, 1913 in Chicago IL. Their chidren are:
George Martin, Jeannette, Helen, and twins, Martha Irene and Ruth Mary. My interest is through son, George Martin Dever.
Now, can you tell me the names of Cora's grand parents? Parents of John Wesley McDade and parents of Elizabeth Smith.
|Rosemarie||Cora Mae McDade Dever|
I am looking for the parents of Cora Mae McDade (born Verona, Alleghany Co PA) who married Martin James Dever, 1913, Chicago, Cook Co IL. She had a brother Archie McDade who married Catherine Dever, sister to Martin James Dever. Any information greatly appreciated. Thanks.
|Margaret Wade||Simon Ward|
I fixed the date for Simon Ward. Thanks for noticing and contacting me. I'd love to know your connection!

Yes it is great that we were able to preserve this young child's existence. Lois had sent me the news articles too. I originally had found a little faded news article in Historic Oregon Newspapers - Grant County News about her death. This website is a great source and so is the Library of Congress website. Have you used that one?
