I'm always glad to add any info you may have to a memorial, but I follow Find A Grave guidelines on transfers.

RE: Isom Buie
I'm not related to Alvie Buie. I'm going to go ahead and transfer this memorial over to you since your family.

No, that's a lot of people! My sister and I were working on Columbia county and I have pulled some earlier records for Clatsop and Clackamas counties. if you are in Oregon you can always visit the state archives in Salem and aside from paying for the parking meters you can access the records for free. no charge to photograph, copies are 25 cents per page. I think the archives charges a fee of about $5 per record if you call and have them do the work. On the state archives website you can see their list of collections and do some searching for surnames. It doesn't cover every collection in the search. Death certificates are the most popular so have your list of ancestors from the Oregon death index. Death records through 1962 only are available to the public. They bring you out 4 boxes at a time and you have to search the folders yourself for your record, but its all organized by county and date of death. I have to take time of work to visit, so I only go 1-2 times per year when I have enough records I want to pull for myself. Then I will spend the rest of the day photographing records to add online.

Thanks, Erin

No, I am not related. Just adding Oregon death certificates online for others who may not have access or money for extra records.

Thanks, Erin

RE: Frank and Hazel Rand
According to the book all of the Isom's are buried in Flora Cemetery.
The Rand's are as follows:
Salem Cem. - Hazel, George, Frank

Smith Chapel Cem. - Elizabeth, Lucy I., John T., Susan A., Edward N., Thomas, Jane D., Missouria A., Mary A.

Elizabeth Cem. - Charles, Lettie J., Eva, Glenda F., Elmer S., Lizzie, Virgie E.

Dewey Cem. - Clois I. and Baby Rand

Hope this helps.

RE: Frank and Hazel Rand
I am preparing to go do requests at Burks Chapel Cemetery and they are not listed In the Fulton Co. Cemetery Inscription Book as being buried in that cemetery so I checked the index for their names and found them buried in Salem Cemetery.

Burks Chapel Cemetery is not actually in Salem, but about 15 to 20 miles from Salem. It is actually closer to Mammoth Springs so I am not sure why they say it is in Salem.

Johnny Richard Cunningham Photo Request
I volunteered to take a picture of the headstone of Johhny Richard "J.R." Cunningham, for you in the Fir Lawn Cemetery, Washington County, Oregon. In the past they have been unwilling to allow photographs to be taken without written approval of a relative or family member. If you would email me a brief note, giving me permission to photograph the headstone, I will get the picture taken.

Thanks for you help.
