The Photocopy of the picture to the left is the family of Francis & Rosa (Schott) Berst. I am their Grt Grt Grandaughter & I would like to be in contact with someone who has this actual photo & would consider scanning it for me.|
Please contact me with corrections that need to be made on my memorials. I'm happy to transfer them to family members. I can also e-mail the orig. size photos to you.
Have you seen the beautiful gravestones shaped like tree trunks? Stones shaped liked Tree Trunks or Stumps usually signify that the deceased was a member of The Woodmen of the World. They usually contain other symbols such as anchors, lillies, vines, etc. The company, Woodmen of the World, is still in existence under the name Modern Woodmen of America. I have made a virtual cemetery for them. If you are aware of any to add to my collection, please let me know. When I started collecting obituaries, I noticed some of my ancestors were Woodmen or sometimes called Foresters (You will see several in this virtual cemetery who died on the same date in a mining explosion at Jumbo, Oklahoma.
I apologize to anyone that photographed a gravestone for me & I neglected to thank. I think I may have missed a few notifications. I truly appreciate your time & effort.

Her husband was Daniel D. Boots memorial 49572053. He's buried in Oklahoma. I'd like them linked when you have time.
Also, do you know where you got Minerva's full name as it's not on her stone.
Thanks for your help,

Thanks for your response.

Do you have picture of the headstones for the Whitteds buried there. If so would you please send a copy to me. I have DSL so size of file isn't a problem. I know who some of them are and believe i can identify them all if there is any info on the tombstones. They are all relatives. 3 generations removed.

Thank you so much for the photo of Jesse's headstone; family researchers believed he had been buried in Olmsted co, Minnesota but were never able to find a headstone for him there. It's amazing that you captured this image with your camera. Excellent photo. His headstone has obviously been repaired and poorly so, but at least someone made the effort to put it back together again. It appears to me that there is a middle section missing as the top and bottom sections do not fit and his death date is missing. Were there any cemetery records for Colfax Cemetery in which date of burial is given?

Thanks for the email. Have linked her to her real parents and will try to get hold of the Cemetery. Thanks for taking the photo of her and some of her family. May I please use them in my family tree.
Thanks a lot.

Cindy--Do you know who posted the plaque on her tombstone? She is not the daughter of James and Clara Lanphier. This needs to be corrected. You can email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Thank you for photographing the stones for the extended family of Fanny Agnes Hummel Muck. I truly appreciate the efforts you went to on our behalf. Although my husband is from Newton, we do not get there very often any more.
