It should be Ellen E. Ward, as in Ellen Eliza. Woodlawn Cemetery in the Bronx, NY, wife of Elijah Ward. She is my great great grandmother. Thanks for posting a Memorial! SSHNield

Hi Gary! Thanks for the update and wonderful info on this young man and his sacrifice. I'm hoping you don't mind but I've transferred his care over to you… you have such a connection with this group and it makes good sense! Hope all is well! Thanks for all you do! Blessings, Dana
Gary, I think I added all the relatives. OK to now delete yours. If this is one of your folks I'd be glad to transfer to you.

Done, Gary and thanks. Normally it's me deleting the memorial because I duped one. Good to hear from you. If this person was meaningful I'd be glad to transfer him to you if you so wish.

Thing are getting a little confusing for me here. There are two separate memorials for (possibly) the same person.
1. Find A Grave Memorial# 106272139 for Capt. George Combs 1742-1827
(The bio has similar information regarding first wife Elizabeth Wiley/Wildley
2. Find A Grave Memorial# 10300741 for George Comb (no S) 1745-1827 (same death date).
Who has the right info?
Thanks in advance for any light you can shed here. Cathy

Thank you, Gary, for posting the wonderful photo of John Fanning. His sister Catherine was my 2nd Great Grandmother. Did you know their father, Bernard also fought for the Union during the civil war? He was a prisoner of the Confederacy and never completely recovered from his prison experience. He passed away very young. I think he is buried with his wife Bridget at Holy Cross.
