I've been working on my family genealogy for about 10 years. I started shortly after my parents passed away. I've wanted to fill in some of the gaps my Mother wasn't able to, and with the help of the internet I've been able to do just that for her.
I live in northern IL with my 2 dogs, 2 cats and my horse.

Mariah Jane Lacey
What information do you have that lists her first name as Mariah? She was the first wife of John Haines Haworth, my great-grandfather. His second wife, my great-grandmother, was Maria M Albert Haworth. Her name was pronounced Mariah but spelled Maria. I can find no information from any one or any document that gives Jane Lacey the first name of Mariah. I am thinking someone confused the two wives. I would appreciate any information you have to help me clear this up. Judy

Spelling of my 4th great grandmother's name
Family in NC use the Fanny spelling as did the family in Marshall County if the book on early pioneers is accurate. The grave stone photos that show with the memorial show Fanny Viars as well. Those are my 3 sources for this request. Although the Fannie version does show up it is generally not coming from a vital record base.

Would you consider changing the spelling to that which shows on photo of the grave stone ... Fanny Viars?

Does anyone out there have a photo image of a vital record that could put this variance to rest?

Thanks for considering

Hi, Thank you for putting up these photos of my great-great-grandparents. (They actually had six children...Mary Ann and Florence, William, Oliver, _____, and Lincoln (but not in that order. Sorry that I cannot recall other uncle's name right now.
Are you (or anyone reading this note) related to this family?
RR and Anne->Florence->Dora->Robert is my connection. Please write to Hannah at teleport dot com if you are related in some way. Kristy

Coons Gravestones
Thanks for taking the photos of the Coons' gravestones. I did have one question: what does it say, as to their ages, on John and Catherine's gravestones? On Catherine's I read: Died Feb. 24, 1837. Aged 46 years, 9 mo's, & 29 days. On John's, its much harder to read.

My pleasure, Mary. I was hoping to fulfill as many photo requests as I could but found it rough going.

Prospect Cemetery is in the midst of an amazing effort to save it from being lost to future generations.

The Prospect Cemetery Association, the not for profit organization responsible for it's revitalization is doing a tremendous job.

If I can assist in getting additional photo requests taken, I'll certainly do so.
