Bio and Links
Bio Photo Note: If you have no way for someone to leave a message I will not add any information. Also I will not make links to a burial unknown unless it is a cremation, etc. that goes by Find A Grave guidelines. What I mean by that is older burials, before cremation, that are unknown and are not in a cemetery.

I believe the ones who have left this life need to be remembered however great or small. Findagrave is a great place to do that with a memorial for them. Linking a family together is truly a great thing to do. Although optional I believe a photo of their marker, a photo of the person, or a little information about the person really adds to the memorial. A flower, flag, ribbon or a note also adds to the memorial.

A lot of the information I enter is from death certificates, from birth indexes, from census records, and from social security death indexes. Some of this information can be wrong. If you find any errors let me know. I want correct information. If you see duplicate memorials let me know. If you have any information about the people I have entered that you want me to add let me know. If you want a person linked to their parents or spouse let me know.

NOTE: Please use the edit button in the upper right hand corner of the memorial page to send corrections, additional information and link requests.

You can use my photos on your family trees. I used to think differently about that but as I get older I see things a little differently now. They are just photos but they can mean a lot to people who can't get to where their family members are resting.

These memorials are not our memorials, they belong to Findagrave. We are just contributors who add the memorials and information and then manage them. Thank you Findagrave for the greatest website on the internet and for letting us be a part of this great website.

Lockhart Grave in Anson Co, NC
After more thought I offer the following. I have noticed that there are multiple findagrave entities for several burial sites/cemeteries in their database even in Anson County, NC. Our entries really compliment each other. So, what is the harm? Better two than no recognition of our ancestors. Also, it is hard to add new information or photos to an entry managed by another person.

I still cannot find a link between the Lockhart and Redfearn Families.

I cannot find an entry for the church cemetery up the road from the Barry Nimrod Redfearn property. Family legend has it that the land was deeded to an African-American congregation. The church is still maintained and seems to have occasional services. Do you have any more information on this church & cemetery? If there is no findagrave entry for it, I will take photos the next time in White Store and attempt to develop a suitable entry.

RE: Lockhart Grave in Anson Co, NC

Why are you so concerned about a burial site on some else's property? I would prefer if you left my entry as is or I will just change it again. IT IS OUR PROPERTY over.

Your efforts are appreciated with your link to the Chesterfield, SC family. The newer photos the Lockhart grave is clearer and more readable in spite of being a duplicate of your earlier entry. New entries for that Redfearn burial site were created to honor my wife's ancestors as she is the owner of the property therefore entitled.

We would appreciate knowing the link between the Redfearn and Lockhart families.
