I am a member of Plymouth County Genealogists, Inc. (PCGI), and Friends of Middleborough Cemeteries, Inc. (FoMC). I have researched my Family History and now really enjoy contributing to the knowledge of all people of the past. My non-family memorials focus on my town of Bridgewater, MA and the neighboring areas.|
POSTERITY: I publish photos and create memorials here for the benefit of present and future generations. If you want to publish my gravestone photos on any website that you contribute to (except FindaGrave, according to FAQ#142), include in the photo caption "used with the written permission of Chip5610 (#46997557) at FindaGrave" and keep a screen-print of this page for your records. Copyright laws require you to obtain permission to use a photograph, and conditionally - based on your integrity - you have it! Understand that merely attributing credit does not comply with the law.
Building a cemetery index: I invest a lot of time developing and maintaining the cemetery page listings for Southeastern Massachusetts (maps for Plymouth and Bristol and Norfolk counties) and several other counties in the state. I add new cemeteries and I remove "incorrect" cemeteries. I improve existing cemetery pages by adding cemetery photos and the GPS coordinates. To each cemetery description, I add the GR identifiers from the MA Vital Records books and the MACRIS identifier to each Massachusetts cemetery description. MACRIS identifiers are an important first step in protecting a Massachusetts cemetery. Knowing where a cemetery is located is the first step in preserving the cemetery and finding a grave.
Assistance: The structure of the site engenders collaboration. The "Suggest a Correction (SAC)" feature is great, so use it liberally! My e-mail was set-up specifically for FindaGrave matters, so feel free to send as many SACs as you want. This is a great hobby, and I will work with anyone, happily! My only request: Say 'Thank You'!

Thanks yet again for locating my ancestors!!
|Matt B.||Katherine Massison|
Thank you so much for finding Katherine's grave marker. We don't have too much in terms of graves or remembrance for our Massison family, so this is much appreciated.

Thank you so much for the wonderful photos! Thanks to you I have found them and also learned John had another wife! Thanks for adding them to Find A Grave!
Now, as soon as I find her brothers, Milo Howard (d: 1903) and Friend W. Howard (died 1896)I will have all the family graves! (I'm not sure what cemetery they are in, so I haven't added them to the Find A Grave site) If you ever "bump into" Milo or Friend could you please add them to the site!
Thanks again for all your hard work! You are awesome!

I want to thank you for spending your time updated this file. You found a cousin of mine that was killed at 10 years old by a train in New Bedford, MA in 1961 the year I was born. I only seen pictures of him when I was younger. With family members passing away I thought it was a lost cause to find any information on Michael W. Cornell, Parents were Irving Delmar Cornell and Edna (Souza) Cornell Ford who was my aunt. His Grandmother was also my Grandmother Helen F. Souza of New Bedford, MA. I plan on visiting Michael's grave site so he will not be forgotten.
Again Thank you.

|Sue Kelderhouse||William Cox photo|
Chip, thank-you SO much for taking a photo of William Cox's grave for me! He is my oldest known Cox ancestor from my mother's line and so it was very meaningful to me to finally see a photo. I am in Illinois and don't get out east very often so thank you again for doing this for me! Yours, Sue Kelderhouse (his 6th great-grandchild).

Good morning Chip5610. Thanks so much for the great picture of Elizabeth's headstone. I am sure that wasn't an easy one to make legible but you did! I appreciate your time and effort. Have a great week!
