My love for genealogy began as a college sophomore when I had the option of doing a full blown research paper or a genealogy research paper. Since no one in my family had ever written anything down, I jumped at the opportunity. It is truly amazing to see how far I have come. My main source of information, my paternal grandparents, are now gone.

I love filling in the holes in my research with pictures. After finding this site, I have added so many burial sites for those I don't have actual personal photos. At family reunions, my research books are gone through so much and the pages with pictures are looked at with more interest than those with only info.

The family names I research began with my side: Sheppard, Logan, Piraino, Pomilla, McCorquodale & Teague. Then I began my husband's side encompassing: McAfee, Ohlhausen, LaSchum, Crockett & Gunson.
