Also about Transfers......
If they are part of your family I will Transfer...usually in each of our families there are only a couple of people who are interested in this.
I have had family members transferred to me and have worked to add family information to all of them including photos. Be assured that I would never ask to have a memorial transferred to my membership for the sake of numbers. That is not my goal, AT ALL. I have numerous Virtual Cemeteries that are set up to hold members of the various direct lines/branches of my "Hair" family tree.
I do hope that some day these family branches will get in touch with me.
Two men were walking home after a party and decided to take a shortcut through the cemetery just for laughs. Right in the middle of the cemetery they were startled by a tap-tap-tapping noise coming from the misty shadows. Trembling with fear, they found an old man with a hammer and chisel, chipping away at one of the headstones.
"Holy cow, Mister," one of them said after catching his breath, "You scared us half to death -- we thought you were a ghost! What are you doing working here so late at night?"
"Those fools!" the old man grumbled. "They misspelled my name!"

|Kay Ponder||RE: Captain John Wilson|
Thank you it is important to me. I have been stuck with parents and siblings of Samuel Wilson for many years. I will be happy to share if you are interested.
|Kay Ponder||Captain John Wilson|
Captain John Wilson buried in Wilson Family Cemetery Thomson McDuffie CountyGeorgia, USA.
I saw the information on his two brothers James and Samuel Wilson. Samuel is my g g g grandfather and we are stuck on his parents. Do you know where the information about him being a brother came from? The birth and death data and his wife came from my records and is proven. I have James record but have never been able to prove he and Samuel were brothers. Everything points to that.
Any help on Samuel and James being connected to John would be appreciated very much.

Nadine, I believe you may have skipped a generation on this info. Dovie Loretta Stovall Matlock was born 1886. That would have made her 46 years old when Doris was born. Also, Dovie's husband, Arthur, died in 1927.
