Bio and Links
Bio Photo Before genealogy was fashionable and internet accessible, one was confined to snail mail with relatives, libraries, court houses, and other repositories of information. My parents and grandparents visited older relatives all the time and I gleaned first-hand information listening to recollections of the past. The "Cemetery Working" Days with dinner on the ground was also a vivid reminder of the importance of family and friends.

Glenda,

I really appreciate the Saunders information and am pleased to have been able to add them. Henderson Co. Sheriff J. W. Brownlow was a cousin and was in office 26 years making him the longest serving in the county. Well known Jess Sweeten was Sheriff of this county also and I was acquainted with him also. Constable James Hopson was a distant cousin killed in the line of duty in 1917 which gives me a reason to be interested in Law Enforcement people.

Nice to hear from you, Wayne

RE: Margaret Rains Cade
You're welcome Glenda,

Edom Cemetery is big enough to make it difficult to find someone; fortunately the Van Zandt Historical Comm. surveyed the cemeteries and I have their book of the Eastern section which makes it much easier. I was able to walk directly to Margarets marker.

Thank you for the info on Dan Saunders and I will certainly add him to my virtual.
