Please consider as your property any photographs I've taken to fulfill your Find-A-Grave request. I often take extra photos and then generate virtual memorials to post them. I'm happy to transfer management of these upon request. If for any reason you don't like a photo I've taken, tell me why and ask me to do it again! I am a hobby genealogist and volunteer my efforts to this website in order to contribute . . . not to compete.|

Mark, I like your bio on your contributor homepage. More folks should have your good nature and willingness to share attitude. I have found today Escadrille's Capt. Dudley Lawrence Hill's obit from 1951 Peekskill, New York. Give me your email address and I will send it to you. Has in it his cemetery of burial. If you are interested please have the honor of making a Findagrave memorial for him or if not, I can. Best regards, Karl email@example.com

Hi Mark, Thank you for the information on Sgt. Edward Foote Hinkle. I have added it to his Findagrave memorial. I see you have an interest in the Lafayette Escadrille. I have public viewable virtual cemeteries for the Escadrille and Lafayette Flying Corps. Also a WW1 American Flying Aces cemetery that you may be interested in. These virtual cemeteries are not complete, just something that I enjoy tinkering with. Best regards, Karl aka Grand Army of the Republic

You maintain the Hodges Council, Sr. memorial # 5222312 so I assume you have some connection the family.

Do you know its location in terms of coordinates or some such? My understanding is Hodges' patent was roughly in the area south of the intersection of Joyners Bridge Road and Collosse Road in Isle of Wight County. We have identified the 50 acres Hodges and Lucy Council gave to our Joseph Vick and Joseph's daughter Lucy in 1674 as likely the farm about 1500 feet west of that intersection on the south side of Joyners Bridge Road at about 36.743, -76.837.

THANK YOU! I appreciate your efforts to photo his grave. He was one of 2 brothers of my grandmother and I am so happy to see his resting place.

The death date note was from the cemetery records. I knew it was wrong, but added it as I found it. It has now been corrected. I linked daughter Althea to him and found his wife Maury, so I also linked them all. See David's Find A Grave page for more info I found and added.
Thanks for having me go back to him and his family.

Do you have him listed as a vet at Woodlawn so his grave will be flagged on Memorial Day?
Thanks so much! Marion
