First of all, an explanation of my user name in FindaGrave. I have documented nearly every grave in my county and one day a police officer asked me why he keeps seeing me among the graves in our biggest graveyard. I explained to him what I was doing and he joked that he thought I was a "graverobber". That is how I got my user name. |
I've been doing genealogy work for my Harrison, Stubblefield, Ford, Ames, Hill and Record lines (my grandparents) for over 30 years. I discovered Find a Grave during the fall of 2010 and it validated so much of my data, while also pointing out a number of errors if I used the dates on the tombstones.
I appreciate the fact that I'd only have access to this information if others contribute to Find A Grave. This led me to start photographing my local cemeteries and those in other cities (including many foreign cities) when I travel for my job.
Thank you to everyone for your contributions and I hope you find mine useful as well!

Thank you for posting that photo of Larry. I'm working on a project for my next Texas City High School reunion involving a celebration of those in our class who have passed on. I hope you don't mind me using it.
|Ernest Davis||Middle names of Adairs|
Do you have any written verification of the middle names of Thomas Benjamin Adair (1680-1755) Findagrave # 25591090, Joseph Alexander Adair Sr. (1711-1789) Findagrave # 9768725 and Joseph Alexander Adair Jr. (1733-1812) Findagrave # 255413007? There are no middle names mentioned for these men in the book "Adair History and Genealogy" by James Barnett Adair and I have no record of middle names in my files. My wife is descended from these men and I would like to have written proof of middle names.

|GariochGraver||St Nicholas #147474861|
It has been brought to my attention by Pixturmn that there's a duplication of #147474861 and it's associates. I did check St Nicholas before entering but the spelling of Michell is different from the usual and is as per the stones. They were English which might explain it! I wonder if you'd consider deleting your entries. However, if you'd rather I'd delete my entries, please confirm and I'll re-attach to yours.

|Kathie L. Webb Blair||RE: Sylvia Suter Shorter|
I Like your name, think it's great. I found a glitch regarding Sylvia Suter Shorter, memorial #108558789, however. Her memorial states she was the only child of Alexander Suter and Mable Davidson Suter. I was able to locate her father, memorial #144121238, but drew a blank for her mother, Mable, I'm sad to say. I'd need to do more research and am in the middle of tracking down Mable's linage as Mable was a daughter of Minerva Davidson Suter and Minerva was a daughter of John Davidson and Mary Ann Upperman Davidson. John is a relative of mine, but I've not been able to find the connection yet & my printer is being replaced, so, for now, I have to write out everyone instead of printing out the family (and my fingers are getting tired!), then putting my notes on the printed pages. I can't imagine how many hours of work you've put in for people like me, searching out their relatives, can only say Thank You So Very Much!! Because of you and many other "gravers", I've been able to link thousands of relatives on both my mom and dad's sides, rather than spend hours writing it all out from books and correspondence from relatives, librarians and researchers, as my own mother did from the late 1960's to 1980's, when she finally gave up and turned all of her research over to me. I was having terrible migraines in the mid 1980's and didn't start my family tree on line until Oct 2010. I have over 10,000 relatives on my "Tree" and have so many more to follow up on. What a Labor of Love! Thank you for all of your efforts. If I locate Sylvia's mother, Mable Davidson Suter, I will do an edit for her. Gotta love this web site!!!

cemeteries are merged now and cross-referenced.
|genieresearcher||Soddy Presbyterian dups|
that was fast! thank you and would help if you contacted findagrave about these duplicate cemetery pages. Maybe more people would get them merged and help prevent duplicates. thank you!
