Wittstruck Memorial Foundation (WMF):|
Any contributions (pictures or notes) I am able to make available can be used in your best interest.
Granville, North Dakota ~ My wife has come to understand my obsession for recording headstones, uncover Markers and link lost family members. We have dug four to six inches in the ground for some and survived the bushes for others. We have learned together what tools we need to carry besides a camera. We feel it is a way of showing respect for those just found for their family and friends that are to far away to do this themselves. Lisa and I enjoy the time together as well.
My obsession started when I returned from Beirut in 1983 (Operation Peacekeeper – U.S.M.C.). Seeing the bodies of those left in the streets is what gave me the passion to do what I can for the families of loved ones here at home. Thus started the beginning of the Wittstruck Memorial Foundation. Some of the stories are indeed sad, but most are uplifting if not funny. All are satisfying to say the least.

You found this grave marker for us some time ago but I don't think I said "thank you" yet.
I really appreciate you taking the time to find the grave and take a picture. You're good people.
Wendelin Highberger in St Teresa cemetery Anderson Co KS... Thanks, don't know where I got that number.

the photo added to this man's grave is for twin babies born on April 4 1884 and one died same day the other on April 5. This memorial is a mess, I took the info from the newspaper obit now family members are telling me his name is something different. Not sure what to do. but would appreciate it if you would remove the photo. It will not allow me to remove it.

|Jack Davison||# 5864418 LT Maurice E Hukill|
Should he be added to your Bairut virtual cemetery?I am in correspondence with one other whom I know has a friend who lost a son there, and may have other friends who are connected. Maury Hukill was the son of my USNA '53 classmate CAPT Henry F Hukill, a submarine skipper who spent many years on deterrent patrol before losing his first son to Peacekeeping.

I did a bit more research and found a statement that the flat stone is in the area of the memorial wall. Thank you for taking such good pictures!
