Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been researching my family tree for over 40 years now and find them all over the United States, but primarily in Pennsylvania, New York, Maryland, Virginia and North Carolina. As a few of the lines moved westward, I have followed their trails and have discovered many wonderful ancestors.

Upon my retirement and move to North Carolina, I now have time to volunteer to take tombstone photos and help others.

Please feel free to use any photos I post, all I ask is that you give me credit for doing so.

RE: John Locksley Hall
Margaret, I photographed Claude's temporary marker; see the photo here:

http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GSmpid=46548770&GRid=132196652&df=1&

Unfortunately, there isn't anything on the temporary marker that isn't already on the memorial page.

John Locksley Hall
Margaret, just fyi ... I did find a temporary marker for John's brother Claude, who also died in 2014. I didn't see any other fresh graves in the Hall section, so I'm not quite sure where John was buried ... but it's possible that John's grave was well hidden enough to not be noticeable.

RE: Mary Blaylock
By now you've already had a photo of William Blaylock added to your memorial. Terre has been so nice about doing that for you and deleting her duplicate. She had created that memorial because she had the photo and he was not on the Rock Springs Find a Grave cemetery list.

Terre is not a Find a Grave volunteer but was searching that cemetery on her own during her genealogy research. We've had a couple of long emails and found out that she is probably kin to my husband through the Brandons. This also makes him kin to a former college friend Lupton Wood through his mother who is 3rd cousin to Terre.

Terre will be adding Mary's photo soon. She took it today and mentioned that to me in her last email this afternoon.

I'm glad for the mix-up and consequential solution which was through cooperation of all three of us. Thanks for all the work you have done.

RE: Fountain Devore
You are quite welcome. It's really a shame that this cemetery has not been maintained---I felt very sad when I left. Changes have undoubtedly caused the neglect - the land and facility passed from the county to a private nursing home owner several years ago. I imagine that's when any upkeep stopped. The property was recently seized by the State of Iowa for money due them by that private owner.

RE: Robinson & Cynthia Thompson
Margaret,

You are welcome and thank you for the compliment. I am not pleased with the quality of the photos. The clouds rolled in before I could get Cynthia's side of the monument and did not clear up for almost two weeks. I took photos with the available light before my two week claim expired. I will replace the photos when the weather permits and send you a message. Also note that Elizabeth is on the third side of the monument.--Storres

RE: Mary Blaylock
Another wrinkle in this saga. When I checked at Rock Springs Baptist to see your memorials, I found that someone had created a memorial for William A. Blaylock on Nov. 8, 2014, and added a photo. I contacted this person through the edit tab on their memorial for William and explained that your memorial was for the same person and was created in April this year. I asked that they add their photo to your memorial for him and deduct their memorial. I also asked if they had a photo for Mary and would add it if they did; or if they lived nearby, would they be willing to go to the cemetery and get a photo of her grave site. I'm awaiting a reply/response.

It really makes a difference if we all work together, doesn't it? I hope fellow volunteers help me correct any problems with memorials I create. Edits help make information accurate and more helpful to all of us.

Regards,
Joy

RE: Mary Blaylock
Hi Margaret. Sometimes I get too many notes too close together. There are Blaylocks at New Hope Baptist, Houstonville. However, Mary and William are at Rocky Springs Baptist, Harmony, Iredell Co., NC. I'm going there tomorrow to take photos to add when you change the cemetery on their memorials.

When I told you New Hope, my eye dropped down to my notes that more Blaylocks were in New Hope. Sorry for the confusion. I was looking up others who were listed in the wrong cemetery at the same time I was checking on Blaylocks. I hope you have found the Blalock/Blaylocks at Jerusalem Baptist, Davie Co., NC, and others in the area.

Regards,
Joy
