Born and raised in Jackson, Mississippi. Moved to Denver, Colorado close to 40 years ago. Most memorials posted by me are relatives. I have my people arranged by generation in virtual cemeteries; i.e., parents, grand parents, great-great-great-great grandparents, etc. Any ancestor that I have been able to identify the final resting place for is on Find-a-grave. Correspondence is welcome if you know anything about these people and would like to share information.|

You are most welcome. There sure were a lot of Hegwoods in the Goodwater cemetery.
Very few of the memorials had photos, so I made as many photographs as I could while I was there. I will take more the next time I am there, whenever that may be.

You're very welcome, Jean, it was my pleasure. It always a little sad when there is no marker, I hope you and your friend are not too terribly disappointed. Hmm, buried on the CU campus and moved to Columbia? That is new to me, but I know there was a fair amount of movement between the old cemeteries here. You never know. Take care, amy

Hi Jean - I am sorry to report that this baby's grave is unmarked. She's in the "baby row" immediately west of Section E, Lot 7, with 5 other babies, none of whom have marked graves. How sad. )-: I went ahead and got a photo of the grave location, since many people like to at least see the grave site. I will be uploading that photo shortly. Let me know if you have questions, Amy

|Myra Vanderpool Gormley||Bankstons|
Jean, in trying to untangle several of the Bankston lines, especially those that went to Mississippi Territory, I'd like to learn the source of the information used pertaining to the ancestry of John Jacques Bankston (father of your Rev. Green Nathanial Bankston, I believe).
As you know, there are many conflicting "sources" listed for some of these Bankstons. If I can learn the actual source used for at least some of the data, then we can compare with more recent finds in primary and original records and also in DNA results. I hope to hear from you and if you don't have time or have the information about the data used in the compilations, please advise who else I might contact for this information. Thanks.

Hello, I have submitted edits for James Walker Coney and hopefully I will get to the Magnolia Cemetery and get a photo of the monument soon.
