RE: wilking
I found records that have an Earl Wilking b Aug 1886 with same parents - thinking someone hit the wrong number and the 2 I have are one person
Thank you so much for calling my attention to this big error

I don't belong to Ancestry

I depend on FamilySearch because the data comes from historical records and not someone's research

I responded to your edit before I checked my notes - you are right have things mixed up
Earl Harold Wilking b 1888 is son of Franz b 1850 and Eva

Now to go back and figure the other Earl b 1886 who is son of Franz b 1825 and Christinia

Do I have this right??

RE: Emma Wunder
I have not been able to connect Louis Klump to any of the three known Klump(p) lines that came from Baden to the Greater Cincinnati area. Let me know if there are some I missed transferring to you.

RE: Emma Wunder
I added the link to her parents. Not sure exactly where husband Joseph is buried (SSDI had June 1948 death date) nor where daughter Irene Schrage is buried. I see you linked Emma to her daughter Helen. And requested a link to son Joseph.

This has to be her. I have eliminated all the other Emma Wunders in obits; So in process of elimination, this has to be her. Not really sure where she may have died. Not finding her in Ohio deaths.

RE: Klump Memorials in Saint John Cemetery
Re Carrie's maiden name-listed as Schmidling on her Cincinnati marriage record to Ludwig Klump. (Ludwig is the German form of Louis). Still have not found her parents. No baptismal record that I have seen.

RE: Klump Memorials in Saint John Cemetery
Jill, Hi.

For some reason, I did not get this til this evening. I try to be as accurate as possible with what I put on findagrave. And link those that I know are true. I did find a bit more info today. But findagrave was being wonky (as it is at times). Last census I found Emma Klump Wonder was 1930-living with son Joseph & widowed daughter Irene Schrage. I tried following the Schrage line on burials to see if Emma might be buried with them. No luck so far. I did add more Schrage to St Joseph & St John Cemeteries. I think I found Irene's husband, but she is not listed as buried with them. I am beginning to wonder if she remarried. I will look into that tomorrow.

I did re-look at that 1938 life claim. There was a note below it dated July 22, 1977 & listed as Emma Wunder. If that is her death year, she would have been over 100 years old. But I do not see her after 1928 in the directories and 1930 in census. I hope to have the Cincy Post article tomorrow. Hope it shed some light on this.

Emma Wunder
I saw the Emma Wunder in 1952 and 1958 in the Cincinnati Directory. She is listed as wife of William Wonder. I checked the image. So that is not her. There are a Emma & Joseph Wonder in Denver that are about the same age. Different children though.

I am still checking. I do see a Emma Wonder, widow of Joseph in 1928 on 2293 Colerain Ave. I am sure that is the correct one.

If you want to contact me off findagrave to see if we can verify this one or track her down, feel free to do so.

Emma Wunder
I think I might have found an obit for her.
I requested an email copy from the Cincinnati library. Date was off a bit. It is possible the last digit was transcribed wrong online for the cemetery record. The writing on the cards could be questionable at best.

I do suspect that she may be Carrie's daughter. I just wanted to work through the conflicting info. I think Emma's husband Joseph was buried near Cleveland. He does have a findagrave memorial. From what I can tell they divorced after a short time together.

I am hoping to connect their Klump/Klumb line with mine. No luck so far. Unfortunately it is a common German last name.

I will make the decision to connect when I get this info. Sadly Emma isn't in Carrie's plot. I have the plot card of all buried. And she died after 1952 which is the last year familysearch has images of online
