In August 2007, I founded the Angel Babies Memorial Project. The mission of this project is to discover and record the gravesites of infants and children who died in New York City and other states between 1798 - 1948 and link them genealogically to their families. Every memorial serves as a tribute to a youngster who died much too soon. They all deserve to be remembered and honored, and given a sense of dignity and love in death that may have been denied to them in life. By doing so, they will not be forgotten.
I am researching the following surnames: Murray, Cuddy, Purcell, Lyons, Hourihan, Crowley, Haley, Coons, Ginty & Twiggs families of New York, Boston, Mass., New Brunswick, Canada, County Mayo, Town of Ballina, County Kilkenny, County Kerry & County Limerick, Ireland.
Mary Ann Dew Wendel and Rebecca Wendell Hi New York Historian-- I just submitted an edit request and made a mistake in it, for which I apologize. I believe I said that Mary's husband was John Gottleib Wendel, when in fact it was John Daniel Wendel. (Her son was John Gottleib Jr or II) Thanks! I know you have enough work without my mistakes. :)
Also, I see that Rebecca Wendell Swope has two entries, one in VT (115953225) and one in Trinity Cemetery, Manhattan (115953230). I wondered if there is a story there, since her husband Luther Swope has two memorials as well, in the same cemeteries. I'd love to hear about this.
Elizabeth Ryall Hello, I am researching Reillys from NYC and Elizabeth, NJ, and believe Elizabeth Ryall to be a relative. Mary Reilly is buried in the same grave in March, 1885, so I am wondering what prompted you to document Elizabeth's grave. Also I assume there is no headstone since none is pictured. I will be writing to the cemetery on Monday for more information. Thank you for your work. Maureen Kelly

search problem forMcGrath and Conway graves Hello, I received messages from Find-A-Grave that you encountered search problems locating the graves for Mae McGrath and Thomas & Bridget Conway. I just confirmed the following locatons with Holy Cross: Mae McGrath Section: St. Charles Row 16 Grave 4 this is near the fence line by the Snyder & Albany St entrance. A headstone was placed in 1947 and should still be in place.
Thomas & Bridget Conway Section VERN Row M Grave 3. Family ancestors purchased this site in 1877, the last burial was 1933. There is probably no headstone but this has not been confirmed.
Thank you so much for your efforts and taking the time to search for these.
