Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a direct descendant of the Copp, Brown, Peck, Ward, McIntyre, and Shaw families on my father's side. Roloff, Crescelius, Garbrecht, Pfersich, Zastrow, and Ziemer families from Prussia on my mother's side. I am making a special effort to photograph stones at Terre Haute Cemetery in Henderson County, IL. Many of the stones are faded and breaking off. I want to preserve them digitally before it's too late. My Peck & Shaw ancestors rest at this cemetery, so it is very important to me.

As with everyone else, if you find a relative's memorial that I have created, you can have it to manage. Just drop me a note via Find-a-Grave. I am creating memorials because I can get to these cemeteries to take the pictures. I appreciate the memorials people have made for my family members who are buried far away. Thank you, all!

Will take care of it. Seems he was located in Lakeview cemetery and not Lakeside. There are a few that were done like that and I have informed the other person on ones I have found. This one was not caught. Have notified him.

Hi Ruth, I don't know if it has ever helped you out with picture taking or not, but I have used the flash on my camera in shaded areas outside and had pretty good luck lighting it up enough. Not saying that will work for you but it has helped me out before. Thanks for helping me out all you can... Tony

RE: Catharine Hunt Dufield
Thank you for graciously allowing my Catharine Hunt Dufield memorial to remain and deleting your own earlier posted memorial. If I had the correct spelling of the Dufield name I would have noticed your memorial first and not created my own memorial. Thank you again!

Hey Shawdau, Just curious when you think you might be able to snap a better shot of their grave marker. This is my 3rd great grandmother and father and I would really love to see a better view of their marker... Thanks, just curious... Tony

Hi Shawdau,
Thanks for the info, always happy to hear from you.
The glass case must have been used to preserve the metal casket from rusting, wonder how thick the glass must have been to keep from cracking from the weight of the casket. Wonder if the casket & glass were lowered as one piece or separately? Interesting!!!

Have a good week-end,
Dan R.

RE: Thank You Again!
You're welcome.

About a month ago I added some photos to some of your memorials at Owls Head Cemetery. Usually I send a message, but I think I forgot this time.

Thank you so very much. I intend to get a contractor over there to upright the stone and make it more secure. I greatly appreciate the guidance on the section and block number.

RE: Magdalena Strauel
Thank you so much for the photo of the fallen stone.

I am going to speak with the immediate family in Edwards, IL to see about getting it set upright.

Do you recall the general area where it might be located at St. Joseph's?

Thanks again, Larry
