Bio Photo Welcome !

To everyone who has taken their valuable time to create online memorials - thank you. It is wonderful to find an ancestor's memorial online.

For the volunteer photographers around the world who have taken photos by request, I really appreciate your generosity of spirit.

I enjoy photography. It is an honor to help someone find a relative's last resting place and remember them with a photo. If I have fulfilled your photo request, you may copy my photo as you wish.

Thank you,
Susan Barbara

Dear Susan! I wanted to thank you for getting the picture of my husbands Great Grandfather's resting place. Until now nobody in his family (primarily back east) knew where William was laid to rest or even had pictures! I was so excited to see the picture as I am sure my husband will be equally excited. Thank you for taking the time to take the picture, it is a beautiful shot of the headstone. Thank you 100 times over!

Linked child :130980066 Dougal

In response to this message you sent me:
Find A Grave contributor Susan Barbara has made a suggestion to you regarding your Find A Grave memorial for Jane Dougal.
Link to memorial:
Link to contributor profile:

Their suggestion:
How did Jennie have a son born in 1800 ? She would have been 9 years old when he was born?
I did not link Joseph Dougal 130980066 to Jane "Jennie" Hilton Dougal #12843111.
Only the managing contributor of a child can make a link to the parent of said child.
in this case that would be: Audrey DeCamp Hoffman

I have no control over what other people post to my memorials or who they link to my memorials, nor can I remove any of other people's links and postings. Because of this lack of control and not even being notified when someone else adds links or posts photos or other items, I was not even aware of this link. Due to this open linking and posting ability Find A Grave is now a total mess of errors and wrong information. This is WHY I require a SOURCE of where info was found before I will add or anything to my memorials.
I get hundreds of request weekly and I VERIFY EVERYTHIG I ADD. please read my bio page.

Dixie Dix Courtway 139161619
Hi Susan,
Thank you for trying.

I have attached a copy of Dix Courtway's death certificate to his memorial. It clearly states that he was buried at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Glendale. I think that the problem is in the cemetery records. I am reopening my request.

"Dear Martin, sadly the church* does not yet have a Church Yard plan of every person buried there. It is on a long to do list at some point. In the Spring we hope to spend time reinvigorating our church yard so hopefully a plan of those buried will follow. Please feel able to visit at any time.

Thank you very much for taking the time to try to locate a headstone for Marion and letting me know that you were unable to find one. Sorry for the delayed reply. Your efforts are greatly appreciated. Happy Holidays!

Dear Susan,

Thank you so much for taking the wonderful photos of Percy and Maud's headstones to complete their memorials. I really appreciate your help with this.

And yes, they are family. I only found out recently where they were. Thank you for being a member of Find a Grave .

RE: Rattie not a daughter of May
Thanks Barbara

Rattie Leona Gibbens (Petticrew)
1900 1990

It looks like from family history that Rattie is May's daughter and the step daughter of my great great Uncle Andrew Ancel Gibbens (112486780)

I would love to have a copy of the Canadian Census.

Andrew Ancel Gibbens
I don't know about the first one you mentioned as their child as Great Uncle Andrew didn't leave Pennsylvania until October 27, 1902 and he was still married to his first wife Sarah.

They had 3 children after they left Pennsylvania
(8)Barbara Sylvia Ethel (Skinner/Polden)
Born 1904 died 11/22/1965
(9)Charles Bell

Records show that he didn't marry your grand Aunt until Married in May 15, 1917 in Alert Bay
