I have been doing genealogy for over 40 years. I have started to take pictures of area cemeteries (Waukesha County area) and I am trying to submit them to various sites. I also take picture when I go on vacation to other parts of the USA and Europe.
If anyone needs a photo (which has not been re-sized) or has any corrections or additions please let me know.
Lately I have been getting many, many transfer requests without the needed information. If anyone requests a transfer, use the EDIT tab and the transfer request must contain the following information: Relationship; Parents, Siblings, Grandparents And Great Grandparents (which does not include Aunts/Uncles/Cousins) and your Find-A-Grave Contributor Number. A transfer cannot be done without the contributor number. It takes up too much time for me to search out the above information.
PLEASE USE THE "EDIT" TAB FOR ANY AND ALL ADDITIONS, CORRECTIONS, TRANSFERS, ETC.
My sister, Lois has been helping with the corrections and additions and also looking for obituaries. My sister, Julie is also helping with taking pictures.
I am trying to help a friend of mine whose grandfather, Elwood Carter (Aug 9, 1921 / Jan 1976) is buried in Riverside Cemetery in Hannibal Marion County Missouri. Since we live here in Connecticut we will never be able to make the trip down to Missouri. Would it be possible for you to snap a picture of the tombstone and e-mail it to me. From what I gather on the internet there are only 77 burials so it is a small cemetery. There seems to be two Elwood Carters buried at Riverside but the first one is way before her grandfather. I found a picture of the cemetery and it looks a river flows by in the back ground. I noticed on the site that you and your sister have contributed pictures for the site. .
I will pass it onto to Elwood’s grand daughter. I know she will be deeply grateful since she never met her grandfather. Any other information that you might be able to supply would also be greatly appreciated.
Clyde Keddell - Highland Memorial Hello! I would love to fill your photo request for the above named person. This particular cemetery is very "sluggish" shall we say about responding to my requests for location. If you would be willing to call them for the location, I would be able to fulfill your request in a much more timely manner. Their number is 920/733-6505. Looking forward to hearing from you!
Memorial # 20745074 Hi Lenora, Thank you so much for creating memorial for Catharine Giles 'Kate' Mannering Corlett, # above. You (or your sister?) took a photo of the headstone at St James Rose Hill Cemetery, Sussex, WI. She's my 2nd great grandmother. I believe her headstone has been placed (bolted, or just resting on?) her 2nd husband's grave, his name was Robert Corlett, born circa 1810 on the Isle of Man, UK and died circa 1860. Would there be a chance you could visit that grave again sometime this year to help figure this out? I live on west coast so isn't possible for me. The photo you took hints that the bottom, much older looking stone has writing on it, but covered by the other 2 stones above it. The middle flat stone looks like might also have writing, does it read 'Mannering?' Her first husband was Alfred Mannering 1806-1849, but he died when they were in Cleveland. Am wondering if that middle stone is an homage to him, or if his remains are also there. Many thanks in advance. I'm also a contributor, #48308803 and have just added you as a friend. Gratefully, Fran
RE: Gustine Bartelt photos Thank you Lenora for all your patience and kindness in letting us know about all the duplicate photos we had entered on so many memorials! We're not certain how we ended up with so many duplicates! Some glitches on our part we are sure but we don't know exactly how that happened. Anyway, thank you for letting us know. Please don't hesitate to let us know if you find any more that we missed! Yours sincerely, Elizabeth and Jerry Nelson P.S. I'm sure we must be related to you through the Musack line. Your name is so very familiar! Did we see you at the Musack Reunion in Theresa, WI in September 2013?
