I would be happy to transfer these memorials to family members.

Caroline Adams
Now I'm not sure. I did show a Caroline Adams dying in 1862 being buried at Mount Auburn, but now I don't think it's the same person as the death certificate. I'll have to look into it. Thanks for letting me know.

I hoped that I thanked you for your reply and the information that you sent? I would very much appreciate you exploring to see if there are more markers for this family. How odd it seems that if Margaret (the mother) and son were buried at the same time why there would only be a marker for Alexander?

Again, thank you!

I read the Facebook article from NPR about the two homeless men who were buried with the assistance from a local funeral home and students from Roxbury Latin Boys' school. Very sad. Thanks for creating a memorial page for each. Hopefully, some day family members will find them.

Thank you for the information. I would appreciate it very much if you are able to find headstones for the remainder of the family there. I am relived to find that my Gr. Gr. Grandmother found a final resting place with two of her sons. Thank you!

Thank you so much, I will put in her information and do a photo request. I've been looking for my great grandmother for some time now. Margaret was from Glasgow Scotland, her husband Robert was a master mariner and they were married there in 1864 and they came to the US. Robert was lost at sea in 1883 leaving her with 5 children ages 5 to 17 to raise. I lost track of her after the 1940 census when she was living alone and working as a "servant" to a "private family". After that nothing. I'm happy to find that she is resting in peace with family! Thank you!

PS I believe that Margaret may have had a little vanity. In the early census records and in her marriage record her birth year would calculate to ca 1939. In later census records it fluctuates by a few years ... anywhere from 5 to 10. I guess that would be a woman's prerogative! :-)

Memorial 142818210 - Alexander Dizer

I am researching my Gr Grandmother, Margaret Stewart Dizer (ca 1839-ca 1912) and find that you have listed and photograph of the headstone for her son Alexander. I have been told that Margaret and her son Samuel K may also be buried in this cemetery. I was wondering if you have any knowledge of this? Thank you!

RE: Belyea's at Woodlawn
My pleasure. I accidentally came upon this grave while pursuing another matter. It is at the top of the hill near the intersection of Oakwood and Larch Avenues.
