I spend a lot of time doing genealogy and/or gardening. Love being with my family as much as possible. I have three wonderful girls, seven super grandchildren & eight beautiful great grand children. And of course, my loving husband. |
Many thanks to everyone who has taken pictures of my familys gravesites. And for the flowers and notes left. They are greatly appreciated.
Note: Please ask me prior to copying my family photos to any other site. It's usually okay with me, but I like to know where they will appear. Thank you!
Here is the link to our precious great grand daughters memorial.

Happy to help. I had also taken pictures of several Gove headstones while I was there, and I noticed you had many of that family. Please look through those Gove memorials I entered and see if there are any family memorials you wish to have. Thanks, Bill and April

I am going down there in about 2 weeks and will take more pictures then. I am having a small sign made to put on the fence so it can be located. I think the young lady who has been working on the grounds said they have identified about 28 stones. So excited to go see it.

Ruth, I have located the cemetery through some wonderful people who live near by. I contacted the county assessor who put on to a map that you could use coordinates to find places. through that I got 2 names. I called 1 and she gave me the name of her niece who lives on the road w here the cemetery is. She tried to get hold of the man she thought owned the property. She got into it so much that she started looking for it. She and a friend found it and even started cleaning it up. She has also started taking pictures. Can you imagine!!! A total stranger helping me out. It is in worse shape that when I saw it a few years back. But she is trying to get it at least passable. We have permission to go on the property too.

Thanks for adding Oliver's father's name to his memorial. I cannot locate him. If I do, I'll be sure to send you another update. Thanks again.

My cousin and I found it a few years back. It is on private property and it is in terrible shape. I regret I didn't take more pictures. I am go ing back for a Draffen reunion in Aug and my uncle and I are hoping to find who has the property and go back. It is hard to see and we walked through a cow pasture to get to i t. If I am able I will take a picture of every stone. I plan to have stuff t o clean stone first and hopefully I can get a good record. I found a John T who has not been listed on the Martin records so I added him. Took some research to find him as the son of Daniel Boone Martin and Nancy. Wish me luck.

Leah Patsey Tennis Hoffman
Thank you so much for sponsoring Leah.
Are you related?
Did I already answer you?
If not, she was my step dad's mother. He was [Frederick] Tennis Bowles, and went by Tennis. Leah lived with us a few years when I was in high school.
Let me know your connection also.

Thank you, Ruth. That is the same information I was given. My grandfather actually used to mow that cemetery. His parents are buried there. There was a fire that burned down the Christian Church when I was a child and he was so distraught at the thought that his mower had somehow sparked the fire. Again, thank you.
|Deborah M||Mary MARTIN|
I find this posted on the page for Mary MARTIN:
"Cemetery reports; Although listed in the cemetery book, no stone for Mary Martin was found. Some stones are obviously missing."
Does someone indeed possess the church records for Pisgah Christian Church Cemetery? I have been trying to track those down for years. I believe there is also a grave for James MARTIN (b. 1799, d. 1852) in that cemetery (I remember it from being there as a child as the birth year of 1799 particularly stuck in my mind). The stone is no longer there. I would be very interested to know that he is indeed buried there as I remember. Thank you.

SORRY, I just looked again and it is you trying to get the Bartlett's so I guess you are not close to Union Cemetery.
I am not sure these Bartlett's are of the family of Bartlett's I am looking for but would like pictures just in case.
Are you related in some way to a Bartlett family?
If you would like you can use my email address.
|Jerry Coffman||RE: Mary Bartlett|
We all make mistakes.
IS there any way you might be able to get pictures of all the other Bartlett's in this cemetery? I have asked for pictures of one or two others and I saw where an Ann has asked for some also. I saw 6 of 14 have pictures.
