I have been climbing around|
on my Family Tree, swinging
on it's branches, and digging
at it's roots for over
30 years, (since 1975).
I have been widowed since 1991, retired in 2005.
I LOVE Find-A-Grave. It is a wonderful
asset to the genealogy world.
If I've created a record that someone
needs to correct, update or add
information, please let me know and
I'll be glad to add your information
for you;... or if the person is your
direct family member, and you would
like to have me transfer "ownership"
of that memorial page to you, please
let me know...If that person is not
related to me and they are directly
related to you; I will be glad to
transfer their memorial to you.
However, I want to note:
Nearly all of the memorials that I
have created are connected to my
family tree and are a result of a
lot of years hard work and research.
To all the members who have been
kind enough to transfer "ownership"
of my family members to me....
I THANK YOU!
Find A Grave is one of my favorite
It has given me a place that I can
remember my loved ones and honor
If you have time, please leave a flower
for my dear husband, Roy E. Hughes.
I just lost my Daddy & Momma
within 3 weeks. Please be patient,
I am way behind in answering request.

|William D Robinson||Thomas Gilleland questions|
Thanks You very much for your work in Find A Grave! It has been a valuable tool.
I’m Dave Robinson and I just confirmed a connection to Thomas Gilleland b. 1763. His daughter Mary married James Fisher and they are my 4th Great Grandparents. Some of the documentation I have found on my Gilleland roots looks well documented. Not so much with some things I have found on Ancestry…so I am very excited about this new discovery. I’d love to contact Jeff Thomas who you noted as the person who provided the notes for Thomas Gilleland in Find a Grave. Do you have any contact information on Jeff Thomas? If possible I’d love to know more about this family of origin. I saw one tree that shows his family coming from Ireland to Pennsylvania and then to NC. However, that tree lists no citations and goes back into the 1600s so I have no idea if it is credible or a name collection. By the way, I have a DNA profile and hopefully there are some Gilleland’s on that Ancestry DNA list as well. THANKS!
|S. M. Starke||Peyton Coker|
I have a question for you on Peyton Coker's marriage to Nancy McInnis. Do you know anything about that marriage and if there were any children?
I am decended from James Coker born in Mississippi in 1826, whose first child is named Nancy and second child is named Peyton. He married in Alabama and died in Texas. I believe your Peyton Coker (buried at Coker Chapel) is his father, but I can't find any documentation to make that connection. Can you help?
Thanks - Susan Starke
|Rita Wehunt-Black||Transfer of Pinkney Sherrill & Sally Wehunt|
Thank you for transferring my Great-Grandparents John and Sarah Angeline Wehunt to my care. I have linked John Wehunt to his father and mother, and Sarah Angeline Shitle to her parents.
This leaves still pending my other set of Great-grandparents at Bess Chapel, Pinkney Sherrill Wehunt, memorial #27307149 and Sarah Ann "Sally" Dellinger Wehunt, memorial #27307209 ( I need to link her to her parents, also). I did made a formal request several days ago on the edit section of their memorials.
Once these two memorials are transferred, this will conclude my Grandparents and Great-Grandparents at Bess Chapel.
I wish you the best in obtaining the transfer of your family member that you have not yet been able to obtain.
Again I am going to list my connection to Pinkney Sherrill Wehunt and Sarah Ann "Sally" (Dellinger) Wehunt.
1. P. Sherrill & Sally Wehunt (my G-Grandparents)
2. Ava Gemima Wehunt Willis (my grandmother)
3. Louzell Willis Wehunt (my mother)
4. Rita Wehunt-Black ID #48110921

Since Mark did a memorial for him in 2012 and linked and added information that I didn't have (he put November 5th and place of birth and death as you requested), I told him he could use my photo and I would delete my memorial. That's the easiest way to do it. So you can delete your request. Thanks.
|Nikie||RE: Lafayette Gordon, sc|
Mrs. Hughes, this is the same information that I have for Lafayette and Rebecca. I am trying to pursue the family tree by checking into church records. If I am successful I will gladly inform you of any additional information. If you would like to see my tree I use ancestry. My email is nikiekennedy@hotmail

|Nikie||Lafayette Gordon, sc|
I noticed that you have a request for Lafayette Gordon S.C. . Is this a member of your family tree? If so I would love to share information. I am working on this side of my children's family tree and I am working to share any information that might be mutually beneficial. Thanks,

Can you delete the typed list of names because his children are linked their parents now.
|Betty Troutman||Wiley Carpenter|
Do you know Who the parents are of Wiley Carpenter,1813-1859 and/or any of his siblings?
Wiley and Laney Wilkerson (Caraway) Carpenter, my 2nd Great Gr-Parents, were the parents of Henry Carpenter 1843-1918; married to Margaret Virginia Ricks 1844-1930, my 1st Great Gr-Parents of which I have their picture.
I am at a brick wall on Wiley Carpenter's parents? Would appreciate any clue or information.

You've sent me several changes to be made...but I transferred them to you so you can make the changes.
Hi, I have been wondering how you are related to Hansel Ingram #26070040 and his mother-in-law Elizabeth Taylor # 25462139? I am a direct descendant. Hansel is gg grandfather and Elizabeth is 3 great grandmother. I know awhile ago you told me you descended from these 2 people. Thank you for the info. I guess you are my cousin.
