Bio Photo Hello!!

I got in to genealogy years ago but never really did anything thinking my mom had done so much what could I do. Boy, was I wrong!! Starting Feb '10 I have done so much and love it! We have spent a lot more time together walking cemeteries and researching at the libraries - has brought us closer.

I work my lines a lot but while out at cemeteries I will take pics of others headstones and put on here. So if I have something incorrect please let me know.

My father and mother work with me on this account so please be aware of that when messages come from "me" it may be one of them also

If I have put someone on that is your relative within FAG policies please let me know and I will transfer them to you.

I love this site and all of the kind, helpful, caring people on it.

Brandie

RE: Harold Lafayette Markham
Hi Brandie!
I am glad that you enjoyed the story. It wasn't that much trouble, and I find it interesting when there is "Sleuthing" to be done! I am glad that I could locate it for you and your mom. I know how it is to want to find your ancestors identifiers. I always am very appreciative when someone locates and photographs a headstone for me. I think that Find-a-grave is an awesome website!
Best of luck to you in your ancestor searches!

Harold Lafayette Markham
Hello Brandie!

We had a bit of a challenge with Harold! There was a purchased plot, but the records said that there was no one interred. Then the Cemetery office called the Gem county records department, and the gal there said her information indicated that there was a "Mahham" buried in the LDS section. The older gentleman working there hauled out two different old sets of records, consulting both. There in the LDS Section, was the "Mahham" and he consulted the other set, and it was recorded as Markham. He took me out to the site, and sure enough! There he was. I was afraid I wasn't going to be able to give you a photo, but we got lucky! He said there is a reason they keep the old old record books, even after they have been recorded into the computer software. "Meant to be!"

RE: Markham Headstone
My pleasure. Too bad the stones aren't in better condition. Pretty soon, there won't be any markings left on George's and Elizabeth's isn't too far behind.

RE: ann meara memorial
Because this was a "famous" memorial, there are no duplicates. FindAGrave sorts through them and decides which to keep. Unlike regular memorials, famous ones are not "first come, first serve". After receiving your email I looked for mine and it was gone..therefore as usual "C.S." was awarded the glory of getting the memorial credit. Thanks!

Brandie,
Could you please transfer my fathers memorial to me so that I can manage it. You were very quick to put up his memorial (in fact you had it up before he was buried!!!) I would like to merge it with the one that I put up. I would also like to add a bio and burial information that is missing. I see that you added a photo which means that you visited the grave. I'll tell my mother, she will be pleased to know that someone has visited.

Thank you

Graves of James Markham and Martha Collins Markham
I am so excited to see this church where my 9 X great grandparents are buried. James Markham was the great, great, great, grandfather of Thomas Humprhey Marshall, my 5 X great grandfather, and he was a Revolutionary War Soldier. I will be going to England next month, and I will visit this church. Thanks so much.

Hi Brandie--I just saw the photo you placed on her memorial. Wow! That is just wonderful. I can certainly tell where her daughter got her looks and many of her grandchildren also. Thank you. Fun! Pat :)
