I am not here to make you angry, please believe that.|
I am a firm believer that every person, notable or not, should be remembered. I also hope that by posting the auction photographs, a family member may be able to retrieve their ancestors image. If I actually own the individual photograph, please contact me if you are a family member.
If there is a photo attached to a memorial that I placed there, please read the photo description BEFORE contacting me for more information. If you open the photo completely, you will see in the description everything that I know about the photograph and where I found it. I rarely manipulate the portraits. What you see is the same exact thing I found, but sometimes in order to see the face, an image needs to be lightened or darkened.
I don't upload found photographs to make people angry. If YOU have a problem with a photograph posted, and I do make mistakes, simply message me that you would like the photograph removed.
I search various auction sites for identified period photographs and frequently, I purchase many. I also spend a lot of time researching identified photographs in order to place them. All too often these photographs are sold and then disappear, where no one will ever see them again. This is simply unfortunate.
I have little patience for Find A Grave collectors. Those members who simply want, numerically, the most memorials. Particularly those who can't spend the time connecting family links of their own memorials. I have run into a few of those when asking for a transfer and I have been declined. To those people, NO you cannot use any of my photographs. To those people who consistantly wave "the rules," please this isn't life and death, well, yes it is actually, but not in that sense, it's a hobby. Lighten up and get your panties in order.
I have been given permission to post auction photographs from Ebay by a few sellers.
If I currently manage a memorial that belongs in your family, please ask for a transfer. Please include the memorial number and your Find A Grave member number before you send a message. I will transfer memorials, however, if the memorial is a family member of mine, I will have to decline. If you have information to add to a memorial, please use the EDIT tab and do not post a personal message.
I typically manipulate the gravestone photos, that I take. I do this so that the inscription is the best it can be.

|Paulette Crawford||Mary Everts Picture|
Hello, my name is Paulette (Sheldon) Crawford. I recently found a picture of my ancestor, Mary Everts Kilburn, on Find A Grave and saw you had contributed it. She is my paternal 2nd great grandmother through her daughter Sophia Kilburn Sheldon. Sophia had a son Gleason, who had a son Vincent Sheldon, who was my father. I know very little about my Sheldon/Kilburn/Everts ancestors and was thrilled to actually find her picture! I would like your permission to post this picture on my Ancestry.com family tree. Thank-you so much for posting it on Find A Grave, and I look forward to hearing from you about using the picture myself!

I was lucky to meet the Lyon's Lake cemetery sexton this last Sunday. She looked and looked at her maps and couldn't find Mina. She thinks Mina is in an unmarked grave. If you'd like I could give you the sexton's phone number.

Hugo monument transcription. All lettering in block letters, some in different sizes. Punctuation in original. Inscription for Herman Wm Hugo was all in block lettering but the "M" in WM was smaller block & raised in superscript with a line under it which I cannot format correctly in this message. All inscriptions were center justified on the monument. The lines drawn below between entries mimic those in the original. Where ages are given, the spacing is approximate. There are also a few smaller headstones on the "west" and "east" sides of the large monument.

You are welcome. The monuments are in deep shade and difficult to photograph so they are readable. I don't know if I can improve on the photos but intend to try again. The next time I go, I will transcribe them so you will at least have the information on them.

Norman a cousin & I came across Sarah M Converse Putney's find a grave. My cousin Peggy is a descendant of Jennie Bell Putney; the older child in the picture. I am a Putney descendant from Hannah Putney a sibling of Amos Putney & an aunt to Ira Putney the man in the photo. I was hoping that if we live near enough to one another that I could scan the picture if you still have it?? Cousin Peggy & I are working on a Putney family ancestry project to join the Oceana county Putney's with the Benzie county Putney's. We are trying hard to find & scan photos of our family members.

Greetings! It seems like a thousand years ago ;-) that we fixed the problem with the photo being attached to the wrong Samuel Rhodes. The photo did get attached to the correct one, but I had not noticed that, somehow, it's still? on my gg-grandfather's memorial. Would this be an instance of mistaken identity due to "military profiling" LOL Thanks for deleting...

I was interested to see the photo you have attached to Richard Reid, Calvary Cemetery, Nashville. He is my 2d Great Grandfather.
I have a photo of him in later life, in police uniform. You can see it here: http://trees.ancestry.co.uk/tree/15359606/person/884216253/media/eced7091-0a6f-43fb-9a5e-48c6dff5e88f?pg=32768&pgpl=pid
I hope you can, anyway.
Do you have any further info on your photo? Do you think they are the same person? I am not sure.
Also, the birth year on the grave stone is incorrect. His correct birth year is 1844. His wife's correct birth year is 1848.
