Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am currently working on finding my lost relatives. My Brothers and I have been searching for our roots, which for the most part are in Columbia and Dutchess County New York. Family surnames of interest are Moore, Rifenburgh, Sigler, Minkler, Bathrick, Burwell, Shurrager, Johnson, Decker, Kellerhouse and Cornelius. This search is the paternal side of our Family. The maternal side can be found in Poland since my Mother's parents were both from Poland or Russian occupied Poland. I currently live in Central Pennsylvania and have been making trips back home for research and Family visits.

Photo Copy Request
You have taken the most beautiful photos of gravestones and cemeteries. May I have your permission to copy them for posting on I am also researching Columbia, Rensselaer and Dutchess Counties--- for DeGroat, Ham and Schermerhorn surnames on my husband's side. My Austrian and Russian Occupation Polish immigrants are Vincent Stuzenski and Mary Senczyszyn. They may lead me to PA as well. I will contact you again when I have proof of direct blood line for some Ham surname memorial transfers. THANKs for all your hard work!

I have transfered the memorial you asked for. I am also looking for Moore's. My Grandmother's maiden name was Moore, from Whitehall new york. Do you think we might have some mutual Moores?

RE: Moore Family
The cemetery deeds I have were deeded to my grandmother, Madeline Costello Moore, wife of the late Harvey Moore, in 1942 for the $1 and there were many plots deeded. The transfer was from John D. Minkler and Ruth C. Minkler, his wife. I don't know if this helps but there may be a Moore family link there.

RE: Moore Family
Hi Connie,

I don't know if I told you this a couple of years ago, but my dad and I were in Tivoli a few years before he died. We visited the American Legion and were told that there were, in fact, two Moore families in Tivoli. It looks like you are from one and I am from the other. As far as I can tell, my grandfather's parents were Frances (Miller) Moore and William C. Moore. It looks like Frances was married to a Miller prior to being married to my great grandfather. William C.'s parents were immigrants from Ireland from what I can come up with. So, at best we may be distantly related but more than likely, our families were neighbors. I'd love to keep in touch.
