I am a photo Volunteer here for the "Find A Grave" web site. |
My family and I are currently working on our own Family Genealogy and building a Family Tree of my ancestors who lived back in the New England states of northeastern America. My paternal surnames are Carter (Chartier), McCarthy, Pelkey (Pellitier), Kennerson, Lamoureux, Coulong, McGinley and Elliot; and my material surnames are Briggs, Burgess, Baker and Burditt, Haskins, Weir, Pitts and Washburn.
I first started this process back in the early 1980s before the Internet was available and instead of sitting behind my computer I made several trips back to the Vital Records offices in Montpelier and Burlington Vermont and to the family Genealogy Library in Salt Lake City, Utah. Recently at the request of my niece, I have decided to pick back up my work and finish what was started. During this recent research process, I found not only free Vital Records online but also this "Find A Grave" web site that linked together Cemeteries and burial sites with headstone inscriptions and photos.
Finding the headstones and my ancestor's burial site information was important to me and finishing my research, but living in Northern California 3,000 miles away from any of these New England Cemeteries made it difficult for me to do myself so I've had to ask for "photo requests" for several headstone photos to be taken back in Vermont, New York, New Hampshire and Connecticut.
I was immediately humbled by the selfless acts of generosity of the photo Volunteers, so much so, that it inspired me to want to give back myself.
In return for the gracious gifts of the many other "Find A Grave" Volunteers who have filled (and are filling) my many photo requests, I too am happy to now help others who are also searching for their family, and I'm willing to make the trip out into the Cemeteries that are located here in the Solano County area of Northern California and take photos of headstones and document the inscriptions.
Once my Family Tree is completed, I'm planning on devoting much more time as a photo Volunteer here on this web site.

Please check if my duplicate is still there before you delete yours. Sometimes in the rush of things I make mistakes, and I would rather there be two for a short time than none at all.
|Julie Nathanson||Orgelman / Pinney|
I recently added photos to North Burial and came across your memorial for the Pinneys. I have added the North Burial, Bristol RI gravestone for the Orgelmans to the Pinneys. One of these must be a centotaph. Could be the Bristol, RI grave as it looks like all the Orgelman children have been listed on the gravestone.

Thank you for his obituary. Even though obituaries are available publicly, I don't like to post obituaries that reference the living. Please contact me via email, I would like to ask you a question. Thanks, Dave B

Thanks for the pics.
|Britany Johnson (Alachniewicz)||George and Ellenor Nodson|
Hello, I just wanted to say thank you very much for fulfilling the photo request for the Nodsons. I greatly appreciate it! Would it be okay for me to use their headstone photos on my private family tree?
|Love in Family||Alice Harriman|
there was a robert harriman listed in an index of cumming ga deaths just as she was
each line was followed by louleo harriman
Alice; 102; Cumming GA; Forsyth CN; 1998-7-12; louleo HARRIMAN
HARRIMAN, Robert ... Robert; 73; Cumming GA; Forsyth CN; 1999-2-21
but as you stated there were no other Harriman's buried in the Sawnee View Gardens and Masoleums I photo graphed each grave with a marker and posted it here on find a grave. Just a thought you might call the cemetery as there are many graves there with no id. It is a vast perpetual care cemetery and was not previously recorded that I know of. I am transferring Alice to your care..
Harriman is not a local sir name and there were none listed in our phone book but with cell phones it's sort of unless to look up a name hoping for a home phone !
I hope you find something there that will help you in the hunt..... Bren
She is listed here with photo. I can not add the photo because I did not take it. Her husband along with other family members are on the stone as well.

|Kathy Sturgess Ouimet||transferred Philip Keech|
I have transferred Philip. My family line, Fish, married into the Keach/Keech family. I too live in California (southern) and travel back east often to photograph cemeteries looking for family members. I would love to see if our Keech lines intersect. Kathy

I have extracted information from his obituary & added it to his memorial page per Find A Grave guidelines - omitting names of living persons, etc
