Bitten by the genealogy bug in 2003, we have visited many cemeteries in several states and decided it was time to post some of our families' memorials on this great website.|
Our work is not about numbers, we strive to make each memorial as accurate and meaningful as possible. We welcome any information or photos you may have for memorials under our management.
We are willing to transfer memorials according to the guidelines set by Find A Grave except for those of our families. Please use Suggest A Correction to request transfers.
In addition to Find A Grave, we're members of several genealogy societies, amateur radio hams and we help with civic activities in our community so we're usually busy. However we do check our email on a daily basis and we will respond to each request as soon as possible, usually within a day or two.
Disclaimer: We have been known to make a mistake or two but if the memorial was created by GuyB, it's his mistake. We do appreciate you pointing out these mistakes so we can correct them. :)

# 11455473. From the sources I have, I believe Anna's birthday to be 1 Jan 1861 at Trading Creek, Lee Co., VA, USA. However it looks like the picture of her stone says 1863 (though I can't seem to get it to enlarge enough to tell for sure). Either way, the 1853 birthdate is probably not right. Her death was 18 Aug 1918 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Co., OK, USA. Since you have charge of her memorial, I'll leave it to you how to handle it. Thanks.

Zion Saunders McVicker was my great grandmother.
She was married to Washington Archibald McVicker.
The James McVicker listed as her husband is incorrect. My sisters and I paid for her Monument in 2004. Before that, she did not have a grave marker. I would appreciate it if the James listed as her husband could be removed.
I find this connection very upsetting.
Thank you. Scotty Roberge in Carlisle PA

Re the edits I've sent. The year & place of birth was based on his WWI draft card which he signed as being accurate. CADI gives 1882 however. Death info. was from CADI. Just thought I'd let you know, however you may want to handle things. : )

I see you manage the above listed grave. Just wondering if this is your line?
|Steven Lake||RE: Marie Folk|
The discrepancy between the listings and transcription at Fairview in OK city is what caused me to search a little harder.
I wish this version of Find-a-Grave had something similar to the android app that will locate all cemeteries in a given location. Comparing the list at okcemeteries.net/noble with the Noble county cemeteries here on F-a-G, I located all of them on a map. The Grandview near Marland/Burton is the only one close, but I doubt my Czech ancestors would have buried anyone in a Baptist Church cemetery.
I suspect there is another long lost cemetery in or near the ghost town of Burton that was either moved or will never be found.
Thanks for your work here. Keep me in mind if you run across anything.

Thanks for list. I'll look at it.
|Steven Lake||Folk / Hanzlicek|
I am looking for a burial described in this family history:
"Marie (Hanzlicek) Folk, born 1843 in Robsic, Czechoslovakia, died on a farm 17 miles north of Perry, Noble County, Oklahoma and is buried in the Burton Cemetery located 19 miles north of Perry."
I wonder if you are familiar with Noble county and know anything about the ghost town of Burton and this cemetery, or any present cemetery near that location.
Thank you for your help.
