|Laurie S Tokarsky||Old Hillside Cemetery|
I was hoping that you might add this to your photo of old Hillside Cemetery: In the History of Thomaston, CT it says that in 1883 to construct the new Town Hall,that the remains of the dead were disinterred and moved to The Hillside Cemetery in a section called " The Ancient Cemetery "
My direct relatives was Moses Frost 1734 - 1814
& his wife Else Selkrigg 1744-1826 & should have been buried there.
Should the name of this section of Hillside stay
" Hillside " or Old Town Cemetery, now called
" The Ancient Cemetery" ?
The 1265 people buried there, most must be of the newer Hillside Cemetery?
I am adding both Moses Frost & his wife to Hillside, let me know if you switch the name to either " The Ancient Cemetery" or the "Old Town Cemetery" & I will switch them to that.
I look forward to communicating with you about this !!
Sincerely, Laurie Stewart Tokarsky # 47375347

|K. Hyland Smith||Elizabeth Curtiss memorial #83813320|
Could you please link Elizabeth (Sledge) Curtiss Catlin to her 1st husband, Simion Curtiss memorial #106618605, in the Lamson Corner Cemetery?
Catlin was her second husband's surname and Sledge was her maiden name.
Thanks so much.
|Janet Mercurio||Elizabeth Barnes 1703-1792|
Buried at Litchfield, CT., Hillside Cemetery.
Thank you for your photos! I"m curious what the verse at the bottom of her headstone says. I can make out a few of the letters but I'm wondering if it's more legible in person.
If you live close by, would you please take a closer look the next time you're in the area and/or take another photo of just the bottom part?
I can read what looks like the word "tidings" and "heart" and a few "of" and "the" words.
Thank you for any additional info you might be able to supply me on this!

|Kari Olson||Dr Thomas Foote|
Hi, Thanks so much for your photo of his headstone. Confusing as it says Dr Thomas Root but the dates and age all match for Dr Thomas Foote.
Please allow me to upload this to my tree on ancestry.com, he is my 7th Great Grandfather.I always give photographers credit.
