I am a family historian/genealogical sleuth, driven to find the truth and tell the stories. I use every possible avenue to uncover the mystery of those who preceded us and report my findings. I realize sources can be slanted, whether it's found in historical books or newspapers or memory. However, I cross-reference everything to put all the pieces together and come up with the "real story". I welcome any feed back that will help me to close each case. |
In reference to this site, I am thrilled with the efforts of others. I truly appreciate the hard work everyone puts into making this a site worth visiting.

|Kathy||1897 Death Notices|
I hope you are doing well.
Thank you for your work on Find-a-Grave!
I just visited Memorial # 53796699, for Oscar E Gifford in Greenwood Cemetery, and saw that you had added a copy of a death notice for him. Thank you!
I noticed that the same notice also mentions the death of George Miles. George W Miles is also in Greenwood, Memorial # 70711279. Unless you have been asked not to by the manager of his memorial, I was wondering if you would consider adding the notice to his memorial as well. Thanks for considering this.
Unfortunately, I don't know what Mrs. Henry's given name was, or where she is buried.
Thanks, again, for your work on Find-a-Grave. I'm working on a database for Greenwood Cemetery, and every little bit of information about folks there is very helpful and appreciated.

Wow! What a chance moment that we have "met" like this, all through an Aldrich memorial. It has been quite some time since I have looked at the memorial so I appreciate your keen eye in looking it over. This Aldrich family is connected to my from mother's family through the son, Eugene Marcus. He married my GG-Aunt, Harriet Amelia Jones. Keep me in mind if you ever run across any descendants of this family and I will watch for yours also. Have a wonderful and relaxing weekend! Warmly, Helen Murphy, Nashville, TN

Hi Patty, thanks for letting me know that Niagara was misspelled incorrectly in the bio information in the memorial for Jane Elizabeth West Aldrich. The correction has been made. The information was recorded in a RootsWeb posting and I didn't look closely at it. Thanks for your keen eye! Are you also a descendant of this family? Warmly, Helen Murphy, Nashville, TN
Hi! have an elusive ancestor named Esther Gaylord who married Alanson Walker. My third great grandfather, Asa Clark married their daughter, Rebeckah Walker. I did find that Alanson was born in 1717 and died 1799. I am wondering if you might have any information about Esther or Alanson?
Thank you in advance for any information you might be able to give me.

You're very welcome Patty.
|Lois||RE: Walter Hall|
Okay thank you. IF you find anything on her, I would love to know how she relates to the Young family line or if it is maybe Walter who relates somehow. I think I found your tree the other day and found you had Blodgett attached to same tree as Walter Hall but yet I couldn't find a connection. Is there one?
I found how Blodgett relates to my Youngs. Don't remember right this second but if you are interested I can go look. 14 hours yesterday, 4 hours of sleep and a grueling first day of a 2-day seminar and I am brain dead. Lol.

Checking to see what you know about him. I had found he was married to Florence. However, it looks like he was previously married to a Maria and had a daughter named Ruth. Do you know if that's accurate? In addition, what I'm looking for is how any one of them... might somehow, somewhere connect to the Young family. I have a newspaper article that states a Mrs. Walter Hall told a story... in 1914..... at a Young family reunion. Florence doesn't look like she was born until 1901 so it's probably not her. ?????

You are very welcome, Peggy. I enjoy the walk and the search. We are into winter here now with snow covering most everything and I will miss those opportunities. No apology necessary, its nice to hear from you. Good luck with your search.
