The Little Ship
I stood watching as the little ship sailed out to sea.
The setting sun tinted his white sails with a golden light, and as he disappeared from sight, a voice at my side whispered, "He is gone."
But the sea was a narrow one.
On the farther shore a little band of friends had gathered to watch and wait in happy expectation.
Suddenly they caught sight of the tiny sail and, at the very moment when my companion had whispered, "He is gone" a glad shout went up in joyous welcome,

I agree that it would be confusing if you changed it. When I called the office for his grave location he was listed as Lafferty.

Hi again. I have verified that Stonie is not buried in either of the two cemeteries in Delta, Colorado. I have a call in for Callahan-Edfast Mortuary who handled the funeral services, according to the obituary printed in the Daily Sentinel. Their records should show whether the body was cremated or buried. If it was buried, they should be able to tell me where. When I get a return call from them, I'll let you know what I find out. We really should correct the record showing that he is buried in the Delta Cemetery.

Hi! I'm trying to get the picture for you, but so far have not been able to verify that Stonie is actually buried in the Delta Cemetery. The public index at the Cemetery does not contain a card for him. I was unable to reach anyone at the cemetery office yesterday, so will check with them on Monday. Sometimes those cards are removed from the public index by someone, for whatever reason, and not replaced. The Cemetery staff has no way of knowing they're missing unless someone reports it. Also, I noticed the obituary from the Daily Sentinel printed in the memorial didn't give the place of burial at all. And, there is another (privately owned) cemetery in Delta. Are you sure he was buried in the City Cemetery?
Anyway, I'll keep trying to find him until I run out of ideas!
