I do a lot of work with Civil War headstones. I had 44 replaced in the Upper Mauch Cemetery in Jim Thorpe, Pa. along with 4 in the Evergreen Cemetery and 2 in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery also in Jim Thorpe. I also go around the state and take pictures of Civil War headstones and put them on my web site which I have listed. Replacing a worn military headstone is quite easy. Just go to the Veterans web site and they will show you how to do it. It will take a little investigation, but it's well worth the effort.|

Here's what I got after I replied to your email at Comcast.net. It happens every time I reply. May I suggest that you open a live.com account? We've had our 2 addresses for a while now & have no problems.

Every time I reply to one of your emails, it bounces. Are you getting them anyway? If not, perhaps we'd do well to correspond via Find A Grave?

Hi, Ray, and thanks for doing those updates. Yes, sure, you can transfer Emily & spouse to me: #47159184. Many thanks. And thanks for the heads-up on avoiding weekends in Jim Thorpe. We'll try to do that!

I live in Erie and am working on a volume of grave locations for veterans of the Mexican War. I would like your permission to use the picture you posted of Henry Horncastle's grave in this compilation. I will cite you as the source.

Thanks so much for the Sherry marker photos. Am researching the Sherry family for a friend.

Thank you so much for posting the tombstone photos of my cousins-in-law William Butler and his second wife Ellen for my family and me. I'm also grateful that you posted tombstone photos for his first wife Fannie Packer (nee Skeer) Butler and her parents some time ago for my family as well. I'm blood-related to Fannie, her mother, and other Blakslees from your area.
Helping those who live so far away from their deceased loved ones is not only a selfless act of kindness on your part, it is a cherished and priceless gift that you give to us.
May God bless you and yours in all your endeavors!
With heartfelt gratitude,
|S M||JAMES SHIREY|
Ray, I wanted to thank you for transferring James Shirey so that his family and life information can be shared with ancestors. I was very pleased to see his grave stone already photographed by you and his memorial. Thank you for the Civil War Veterans who have been located by your work and for those you have yet to find. None should ever be away from memory. My GGGrandmother was married to James's son Frank Shirey. Thanks again and God bless your work.

Thanks for the 9 Leisenring transfers. I added information to their memorials and now they're as accurate as you and I can make them.
