Thank you for linking Mathew to his father.
You may use any info I have. Please look at the Obit I added to Cornelius's memorial it's the only clue as to where he was buried. Maybe you can help locate his burial site & who his parents were. Cornelius & his 2nd wife Catharine Van Horn Torbert were my greatgrandparents. I now live in S.C. & it's hard to search from down here.

I was wondering if you would transfer Carrie and Rev. John to me. These two are related to my husband.
|Lillie Oppie||Carrie Oppie|
Carrie was born 25 July 1862 in Griggstown, Somerest, NJ. Yes, she is buried with her brother Rev. John. She died of Peritonitis. Would you please enter birth date.
|Kim Hukill Dupell||Benjamin G Stead|
Could you please change his birthplace to Yorkshire, England? It is showing Illinois, USA at the top of his record.
|Kim Hukill Dupell||Benjamin Greenwood Stead|
Benjamin was my 2nd great grandfather, but I am seeing his headstone along with his 2 wives in the McCoupin Creek Cemetery in Farmerville, Illinois. Is there actually a headstone in the Sulphur Springs Cemetery or is there an error somewhere??
|Chris Horner||transfer request Piatt|
I am still hoping that you will transfer to me my grandfather Floyd Lewis Piatt. Thanks, Chris Horner

Found that we have the same grandparents - Abraham and Elizabeth Houghton Stout - my 5th
John and Rachel Merrill - my 6th
Which child of Abraham and Elizabeth is your link?
Abraham's youngest son was Eli (or Ely) in some cases. 1771-1845, married Nancy (MNU) 1773-aft 1850 census in Owen Co., KY where she was shown as a widow. No burial information on either one.
Eli and his older brother Joab Houghton Stout were made wards of Jediah and Mary (their sister) after the death of their father Abraham in 1777. The youngest brother was John 1775-1841 (there is no record as to who raised him after 1777, probably the Houghton's) by Abraham's 2nd wife, Alice Houghton sister of Elizabeth. John married Parmelia Drake and they moved to Seneca, NY where he died.
Joab Houghton stayed in New Jersey and Eli and Nancy also moved to Kentucky and had their children in Georgetown, Scott Co, KY. We have records of 4 children, but believe there was at least 2 more. Their oldest son was Isaac 1800-1833 (here is where it gets murky. We know Isaac and his wife Lydia both died in 1833 in the Kentucky cholera epidemic due to the fact that my Great Great Grandfather had two published biographys in Schuyler/Brown Counties History Books in Illinois - ( we cannot find any burial information on Isaac and Lydia. They left 4 small children under 10 who were raised by Eli and Nancy.
The oldest was my 2nd Great Grandfather Francis Marion Stout 1823-1907 who along with his sister Mary Jane (married a Donahower) migrated after the death of Eli in KY to Cooperstown and Ripley Townships, Brown County, Illinois. We have no definitive information on their younger siblings. FM and Mary J both married and raised large families and are most are buried in Ripley Cemetery, Brown County, Illinois. You can find their information there. If you have any further information on our branch of the family through family records, please advise me.
